It seems that battery life works much better now, at least in standby mode:

Hi!

Just got my X10 this morning. I bought it from a person that had tested it before he sent me it. Now when im trying to start it up all I get is a "error-triangle" in front of a black x10 on the screen.

Does anyone have a clue what to do or whats wrong?

That means that there has been a problem with the firmware, also some people call it a "bricked" phone.

Just use Omnuis or SEUS to perform a restore and you'll be back up and running

I have seen that error-triangle when my flashing went wrong. Just a proper reflash should bring it alive.

@Indiandawg Rooting your X10 will give you root access meaning you can do more advanced customisation and allow certain apps from the market to do fancy stuff. As far as I'm aware it will void your warranty just as flashing your firmware with anything other than the firmware it came with will void your warranty.

@xironghostx sounds bad, try reflashing the firmware using SEUS if that doesn't fix it then it's probably hardware related. Think about asking questions of the seller who says he tested it before he sent it you. For my money unless it's tested in front of my eyes or by the factory it came from it's not really tested.

Got it! Thanks

Nope, SEUS does not find it. Nothing happens. One time a red led between the screen and the USB-port blinked twice, but the computer didn't find or tell me anything. I don't think that it responds to charging either.

Please, does anyone have a solution or a clue.

Im running Win 7 64bit if it matters..

Does anyone know if you will lose data using SEUS?

@xironghostx I run Windows 7 x64 at home with no problems. Try Omnius to flash the phone. The red light normally means the battery is low. However, if its not responding to ether charging or a restoring the handset by SEUS id ring SE and have the phone replaced under warranty as it sounds like your USB port has come away from the PCB.

@tobias84 It depends on what you are doing, if your just updating the handset then no. If you changing the firmware i.e Nordic Generic to UK Generic, yes you will loose your data. However, it can be backed up

Is it possible to disable the message: Login on Google?

Every time I start my phone, there is a little warning triangle in the upper left corner with the message: Login to your account, which means Google with my Gmail account.
It wasnīt there the first days, but since yesterday itīs there.
