If they want deep learning in the camera, they should take inputs from the users i.e. the camera should provide quick tools for correction so the camera will learn how the user wants his image to look like.
Some users prefer brighter and punchier images while others prefer a more natural look. Some want to pixel peep and settle with lower ISO to reduce noise. Some would want stock image like appearances. The camera should show a quick edit/tweak tool/sidebar on the camera interface to allow the user to feed his inputs into the camera for the camera to learn how the user wants his images to look like.

If there were such thing as a like button here, I would be using it right away.
There more videos I watch, the more I really think of the XZ3 as a beautiful phone.

I wonder... I recall one of the Sony Mobile execs had been previously quoted saying we would see 4K OLED in a phone this year. I wonder if Sony expected a 4K OLED for the Premium but something happened, causing them to have to go with a fallback solution using LCD, which caused the delay in the Premium's launch.
I know it's pure speculation, but AFAIK we never got an explanation for the XZ2P's late launch so I'm wondering if that could be it.

Well, The design is great, this should be the design since like 2017 already.
Most reviewers online focused on two points as being the negatives.
1- The tendency of quickly replacing flagship, eg. the 6 months reveal. XZ2 & XZ3 are 6 months apart. I think I've heard that Sony is ditching this modal like two years ago ? what happens to that ? Or this is just the leftovers of the devices that were actually in the roadmap.
2- Apart from the OLED and slight design changes, the XZ3 is exactly like XZ2 to the point there's no point in having it actually. Some comments are saying if Sony was planing XZ3 why they actually released XZ2 ?
I can add a third point which is the fps location. I know Sony cant add it to the side like it was before duo to US IP thingies. but come on what the hell !! I guess I won't take any phone with the fps in the back. period. It's either in screen or face recognition or both in the same time.
BTW, Any news about dual SIM + microSD ?

Regarding the XZ3;
- a little improvement of the Omnibalance design, although the design is still bad and the phone still doesn't have the flagship look.
- 4GB RAM for a flagship 900$ phone in Q3 2018 is pathetic
- The XZ3 is actually a redundant device since the best Sony has for 2018 is XZ2 Premium and the next best thing is Q1 2018 with 5G support. This (in my view) makes XZ3 completely redundant.
It seems that this closes the 2018 regading Sony phones as the next batch of phones could be announced (at the earliest) at CES 2019.
For that reason I would support starting a 2019 rumours thread.

I agree, who would like to create 2019 rumours thread?

I think that had the XZ3 come out at the end of the year it would have 6GB Ram and 128GB storage, its a consequence of the release schedule so of course its similar to the XZ2. Yes it's an upgrade you should leave a year before you expect a proper hardware update. They should do Premium and regular at MWC then Compact and a Plus size at IFA. Scatter the mid ranges in between.
I knew this would happen so I just got a XZ2 Compact for £200 plus my old XZ1 Compact which is a great deal. This time next year I would expect the XZ3 Compact out with OLED, 5G, new sensor, 855 etc and that is a big step up. For a flagship to appear 6 months after the XZ2 means that it's nearly ready at that point, most of the design and hardware is confirmed. The other consequence is that it looks like a minor incremental change but actually the XZ2 to XZ4 will look like a massive change but while the XZ3 is there, you'll feel underwhelmed when the XZ4 comes out.

They all know Sony has semester cycle for standard flagship.
Early for Compact .
Same sites dont complain about semester cycle of OnePlus.
Now LG too, because G and V are same except screen type. I am not even counting V35.
Xiaomi has mix2s and mix3 is on the way.
I agree about FPS. Some ppl say it is an exercise to unlock phone, some say it's okay.
It is ridiculous to say a curved back phone is slippery in hands.
It is much easier to hold.
You never see sponsored post from Sony Mobile or HTC.
Some stuff are reflex of that.

Samsung is also doing the same
Lg too
Samsung has galaxy and note series
And lg has g and the v series
I think sony should follow that strategy.. Random customers won't care about how similar an s9 and note 9 is actually
