Looks like One Sony won't be 1000$ expensive. More like 850-900$

We got our hopes too high.

More like a lot of people were putting out false information based on dreams than any serious inside info

Kaz Hirai would be bat shit insane of he tried to sell a thick camera phone as the 2H flagship. It never made sense, zomgs original info atleast was logical, sell a limited edition camera phone for the people who love photography

But the 2H flagship needs to be thin and light because thats what sells in mainstream. Most people do not care about the amazing photography, they just want pictures to be good enough for their facebook albums. Thats why Galaxy, iPhones sell 10x what Pureview 808 sells or even what Lumia 920 sells

Sorry but that's just not happening. There is no "separate" Camera phone and 2H flagship.

And this is XR5 category info.

There is only 1 flagship for 2H 2013 - One Sony = Honami = C680X

3 devices with S800

5" - Honami

4" - Ray 3

6.x" - Phablet

Apart from these three there is C670X with S600.

No other phone

Also I don't understand why some are thinking thick = bad ? A phone being 12mm doesn't it the size of a Note 2. Thin phones are a fad. Nobody's gonna go " OMG!!!!!!! So fat!!" seeing a 12mm thick phone as long as it's not too long and wide.

Satio was 13mm thin

Lumia 920 is 10.7 mm thin

ZL 10mm, Acro S is 12mm, N8 is 13mm thin,

There may not be a seperate camera phone coming but i honestly do not believe there will be a thick 2H flagship using a big Pureview 808 type sensor either. While i do believe you have had accurate info in the past, not everything you have written was true. Z did not have a whitemagic display and it didnt have 2800 Mah battery, Exynos Octa WILL be used in Galaxy S4

And im not sure what was popular 5 years ago has anything to do with what is popular today. Lumia 920 has awful sales (Nokia wont even admit the number but hides it among the other cheaper Lumia phones) while Z wich is under 8 mm is Sonys best selling phone so far in the Android world.

That still goddamn expensive.
I mean that translates to £550-600 based off current exchange rates. That is MORE expensive than the competition barring the high capacity 64GB iPhons.cIn addition, imports into the UK almost always inflate the price of technology. What would be $850-900 in the US would therefore inflate to about £700-800....maybe even more.

That is INSANELY expensive.
I had better get a free PS4 for that kind of money....

Hey guys, just a question. Is the screen calibration software leaked earlier going to come to the Z and ZL in the 4.2 update? Cos rumor now has it that its just a developer software, not for the public. Thanks

Yup the ZL had it (not sure retail or developer versions though) but the retail Z does not have it. It seems really useful so just thinking whether it might come in the future updates for the Z.
