@coola: There was nothing the poor chap could do about the cargo of beer, it's all insured so no-one loses any money...a few people woke up with heavy hangovers this morning but that's where this story fortunately ends.

Gold is not transported on national highways, they fly it around in jumbo jets. When the Reserve Bank sends cash down to it's Cape Town branch from Pretoria the truck carrying the money is escorted by a heavy police contingent who are armed with automatic rifles and an assortment of weapons just in case the criminal minded feel the need to help themselves to some cash.

@all: I should probably head on over to the Symbian forum but will ask here first. Anyone know a good anti-virus app for the P910i? I fear my phone has been infected with some sort of bug...I constantly get a white screen.

Just heard on the radio that a 2year old lion has gone missing from the Addo Elephant Park... The Park is enormous, many thousands of hectares, if memory serves it's roughly 1/4 the size of Wales... So if it hasn't been found by now, it's possibly heading in the direction of my workplace, which is about 15 minutes drive from the Park. I'd be sorely tempted to accidentally nudge my boss into its path

Oh, Lord...I made it through 6/6/06...actually it was unseasonably hot in Cape Town yesterday...quite bizarre when considering the significance placed on the date by all the nutters and conspiracy theorists?

@da wanqsta: Are the English royals reptilian by any chance I fear for Chelsy Davy when she marries that snake... errr Prince Harry.

Ok, new stock of the N70 is expected today...they've got a waiting list for the phone that's a mile long, hope I get mine either today or tommorow.

@ da brixsta,
LMAO, yeah 'cos reptiles are also rather cold-blooded animals, aren't they...and Chelsy Davy must be a thoroughbred blonde if she's indeed going to wed the oft-obtuse,swastika-toting, binging n' brawling impish 'royal'... and I don't think these are unfair remarks either...unfortunately.
Dump your prince, Chelsy...FFS look what a happy lot of marriages the current royal family have nurtured so far...saak that possible future 'princess' status!

It should be mentioned that these phones are network locked and heavily branded, Orange with Vodafone and 3 are supposedly the worst when branding their phones and altering menus.

I'm feeling very good this morning, why because I enjoyed myself last night- was at the karaoke with some friends...fortunately I didn't have to sing.

Correct, although unlocking can be done for about £10 for these phones, you're still stuck with all the branding. If one is prepared to live with this then fine, but as I've mentioned in the past, I'm also no big fan of any network branding whatsoever.

Having said this, the Carphonewarehouse stock,as also mentioned previously, is indeed sim-free/unbranded and unlocked for the same price re the K750i,but without the B/T headset,so those like myself put off by network branding etc. still have a viable option to go that route sans added freebies like the SE B/T headset; kinda The Link's way of wooing UK punters from the CPW sim-free stock, I guess.

@ da brixsta,
Congrats on your new feature-packed S60 from the depths of the Dark Side. As you know only to well, there's such a myriad of applications n' stuff freely available on the net, and I'm sure The Kryptik One and I could also contribute a significant list of 'nie-amptelik' sites, although I'm guessing you know most of them already...

BTW, T-Mobile and Virgin are just as much culprits of handset branding as the other 3 that you mentioned, and as you've quite rightly have identified before, O2 are by far the least offenders; with the exception of the O2-branded BenQ range of phones (before becoming BenQ-Siemens),their handsets have no physical O2 branding on the fascias. There is the odd wallpaper and screensaver included, but the menus et al are far more akin to the generic sim-free stock.
