I found that even though you don't get the Delete menu item, you can still mark all the items and then hit the DEL key to delete all marked messages. It's a workaround until they fix the firmware.

I found out that you have to kill aoo the programs go into messeging, and it should show up.

i am using the latest firm ware and still its giving problems like this....
SE common you should be faster with more firmware updates and solve all these
i am so confused as to what all features i am missing now because of this yet unfinished firmware
Please guys if you know things like this post it here so that newbies like me can make use of this

does the new firmware stop it crashing when on the web?
mine has done this a lot when i am only running the internet and nothing else.
thanks for any help
No it does not, nor does it stop the endless kern errors messages or the constant crashes when you are trying to edit a contact in flip open mode! Neither does it speed up the overly slow general performance of the device apart from that it's just great!
please stop using drugs...they make you say stupid things
Mate, you might well be happy to accept poor products but I certainly am not and will tell it how it is! but perhaps you do not understand Irony? However If you do, then leave the personal jibes out I am not impressed with childish name calling OK.
I am glad you are clearly not experiencing any of the above problems, but I am and so I am not at all happy with the so called "flagship" of the

family.
I am however, pleased that I did not have to pay a penny for this pile of junk, even attempting a simple task like "trying" viewing of the calendar from the "Activity Menu" brings this "toy" to its knees requiring a reeboot to gain control of it!
Sorry...people with latest firmware just donīt get all those problems...if you canīt update to the latest, maybe because you have vodafone handset, well thatīs the price to pay for buying branded handsets, you have to wait much longer for updates
You clearly said to a guy that asked if the latest firmware update improves P990 stability that "it crashes all the time" and has kernel errors all the time, well, that is a BIG LIE, so what do you expect people should write about your post???? Please enlighten me WHO is being childish???

@Nitro Fan
I have about 1.2mb of contacts and about 250kb of calendar entries .
By the way I never synch with my PC.
I can clearly say that my P990i is handling these data much slower than my P910i, but I'm not having any crashes etc when working with contacts and calender entries. But I think we should give SE guys some time to fix these problems, I think everything will be good soon
Hi thanks for the response.
Yoru figures are much higher than mine so who knows how poor my P990s performance would be with that kind of load.
I have to synch with PC daily as the P Series is my office on the move, I agree we have to wait but it cannot have been beyond their ingenuity at

to have loaded up some test data configurations for benchmarking they would have seeen very quickly it does not come close to the P910i's performance and would have shown up the data / memory management problems very quickly. What worries me is the fact tht if they really did not know there was a memeory problem before the phone was released will they really be able to do anything about it retrospectivly?

Guys is it possible to do a program that when you close the program it will be permanently close and you don't have to close it on the swiss manager to save time and performance?? Or a program that helps the phone manage its physical memory(RAM)?? I hope cellsoft can do that program because of the swiss manager.
