Does the X10 have standrd micro-USB or is it Sony Ericsson's own USB port and own cable.
Standard. I use Nokia N97 mini charger.
None of my USB cables fit the X10 other than the assigned USB cable for the X10.
They have to be microUSB. Check out specs on gsmarena. X10 uses v2.0 microUSB. I am able to use a Nokia charger like I said and also some other USB i found in the house. Don't remember with what I got it. But Nexus one had a weird flatter microUSB and that didn't even fit in X10 or Nokia N97mini. So, looks like there are quite a few different microUSBs there.

@Toney_Ericsson
The backup app is located in the main application menu. It will back up call list, sms, mms, settings, downloaded applications, phonebook... and store it on memorycard.

I hate new phone book calling option.
I don't want to keep clicking on something to call someone.
If you want to call someone from phone book you have to click 3 times.
Just longpress on the contact and you will get the option to call atleast mobile (if you have more numbers) if only one that one will be callable(even if its work or home or labeled something else), no need to 3 click even sms shortcuts, it's like the old "more" button on SE phones.

There's a rumour going on regarding Android 3.0 that it requires a device to have, at least, 3.5" screen, 1 Ghz processor and 512 RAM. If that's the case, then X10 will not get Android 3.0 update because it only has about 384 RAM. So I guess X10 is not good investment for a phone as it is not even a year since its released and it's getting quite outdated. It seems Android 2.2 is the last OS update that X10 will ever get if the rumour is true about the Android 3.0.

If that is true about the 512mb of ram, it definitely sucks for us X10 owners. However, by the time Android 3.0 is released, I'm sure SE will have announced the X10 successor that we'd all want instead of our "lowly" X10s anyway, so that sort of makes this more or less a moot point. I highly doubt there are many of us phone nerds who would keep a phone much longer than the time it takes for its successor to be released....
