Does XZ3 has AUBE? I think it doesn't, not sure why tho...

Z introduced Omnibalance, XZ a new design too.
Z1 was a minor facelift, XZ1 too.
Z2 was bulky with impressive battery life, XZ2 too.
Z3 was polished and fancy, XZ3 too.
Z4 was even more polished.
Z5 Premium the apex of Z line...
Maybe there is a pattern here.. Who knows?

AUBE isn't present in XZ3 because was made for FUSION the data of two sensors in real time, no more than that.

I don't see why there wouldn't be. The XZ2 Compact is still fresh and an all around excellent handset from what I've read. Hopefully next year we see a simultaneous release of a compact, main flagship and premium flagship all supporting 5G.
I'm very pleased that the main flagship is now a 6" screen. Hopefully that means the next Premium will be in the 6.2-6.5" range. I miss having a massive screen ever since I gave up my Z Ultra

After Z3c , looks like no compact had same success.
Some phones ( honor 8x I guess) have more than 7" screen.
Apple is giving up on small phones.
The 5.8" ( iphone Xs) will be the smallest. It has the size of Z5.
I am sure that a potential XZ4c with the design of XZ3, 5", oled, dual cam and 2850mAh would be very tempting to those that love small
 phones.

If other manufacturers can put more into a smaller footprint why cant sony do the same?

Stop rationalizing. Sony had massive phones even before AUBE was introduced. It would be more believable to say that they just want to keep losing customers.

About next Compact. This post from March makes me worried, but I don't know how reliable it was:

Also a rumor about compact models from the same persion (

There's only one Compact per year. XZ2 Compact should be the last one with the same CPU as the flagship which has a small screen. Now it's hard to say which model from either half of the year is the focus.
(In reply to:) Isn't the second half of the year is the focus of Sony in general? Will there be new model in October this year? I want to buy a new phone. Should I wait for the second half of the year or buy xz2c now?
He also said that the next compact models will use mid-range CPU in the comments.

One Compact for a year - this proved to be right.
Midrange processor - I hope it is not true, cause midrange processor may be followed by no waterproof, something like Xperia X Compact was.
