Yeah i've definitely noticed improvements with 2.1, especially in the lag with SMS and i get much better 3g reception overall. I'm pleased they've also ironed out the bug when installing apps via app store etc as that was beginning to pee me off...many times i had to do a restore because of that (until i found a workaround for it)
If anyone is using a jailbroken iphone, check the changes in Cydia today as they've ported SwirlyMMS to 2.x now! I've set it up and it's working perfectly - think i'll definitely be buying this app when my trial runs out.

well I'm happy now. I got myself a turbo sim type thingy and so now can use any sim in my iphone. I'm amazed at how thin it is, its almost paper thin and I've tested inserting and removing it several times and it doesn't get stuck at all.

May I enquire how much your turbo type thingy was Masseur?
One of the 4 iPhones my family is using is a US one... and is a little bit of a pain come upgrade time... even though PWNy type installation of firmware is very good....

i concur, Turbosim is great, little glitchy when it comes to 3g surfing, apart from that its working great for me, was just wondering, did anyone find any trouble or problems after updating to 2.1?
after the update my Safari actually started to crash way more often, in fact, i had never encountered a crash prior to the update. is anyone facing the same problem as i am?
please let me know if there is a fix.
Regards

So this turbo sim thingy... I'm on Vodafone and don't really want to change to a new contract with O2 to get the new iphone. Does this turbo sim mean I could get a new iphone on payg for example and then just pop my Vodafone sim in and away I go??
