Good luck on the replacement. They really shouldn't take too long - unless your device was directly from provider which means it may have been locked. Correction - forgot that practice is only for screwing us in North America; I purchased directly from Apple store so mine is unlocked

Got my replacement...
Excellent stuff... it came with 3.1 on it, so was able to Jailbreak... Excellent...
When I spoke about the crack on the handset the genius advisor mentioned that Apple are aware of it and that it is due to the material they use for the back piece... but we still seem to be getting returns. He also mentioned that out of warranty they would not replace the handset due to a crack as it does not affect the operation of the handset...
One thing I have realised... Once Voda and Orange get the handset there will be a lot more returns especially as they have not sorted this cracking issue, which they are fully aware of...
Not good at all... Lets hope I get better life with this one...
