I have removed my X10's pre-applied screen protector after couple of months of usage. Than I have used it without one for more than a year. It hasn't got any scratch at all (you can check the screen from here:

There is no need one if Xray has the same type of X10.
I'll take it out when it gets scratch. Since it is a thin layer of plastic it will get scratch in couple of weeks.

Are you guys using PC Companion? Whenever I looked at the software update, it said my phone was up-to-date, but PC Companion said 2.3.4 was ready for download.

Run/update PC Companion, plug in your phone, it should list the update already. Take a few minutes to complete the whole process.
