Am doing this post from home now, and its so much fun and amazing. Now i know what i missed on MTN's free GPRS, with Vmb i cant seem to dowload large files its so slow, been trying to download Opera, still no success, getting internal server error 500, any solution? also trying with yahoo messenger, no success yet.

Congratulations Angelgirl. What U need is a little app called NetMeter that shows U how much speed u are browsing. If it is 0.1kb, Yahoo Msg won't open. U also need FreeDownload to speed up ur downloads. These 2 app are my favourites. Check Download.com for them when U get to the office.

@All... I also got a new lappy on Thursday. It's an HP Compaq nx6110 with wifi and all. But no IR or Bluetooth. I got it for 90k but I only paid 30k to pick it up. At last I can watch DVD's in bed with my gf's.

@Amby.... Are U yeloush? I already have a PC at home and a PC in the office. Why not a PC in bed?

@Abu, Are U using M-TEL to browse? U need NetMeter too so that U can know how fast U are surfing.

@All The Vmobile csd (1005) now gives me a "Wrong User/pwd" error.

Some hints for whoever is still trying to connect with vmb gprs using SE T610, make sure the communication suit is installed in your pc, then use the dial networking wizard to detect your phone as a modem, so it can pick up automaticable the Vmb configuration from your phone. One last hint, at the prompt of username and password, enter wap respectively.
Cheer all and goodnite .

@all: NITEL strike had kept Mtel gprs down thus my abscence (that i'm sure left PNF a little peaceful!!!!)

@Areaf: Thanks o!! Even though I've had the notebook for some time now. Its the connection to the phone's gprs that was killing me. I missed PNF too. Was suffering from PNF withdrawl!!

@Ifed: My brother, i didnt want to bring down the mood at PNF so I didnt menton it before but robbers came to my end easter weekend (on saturday, 2:30am). Luckily, they were only armed with cutlasses (though one had something that made banging noises but i suspect it was just a starter gun) so i was able to fight it out in my living room. came out without a scratch. (thanks to God).

@Ambyz: its still Mtel o!

@Deji: I get topic o! Was reading in the paper that our Minister of Science and tech, saying that he wants to start a space programme in that we'll have a Nigerian Astronaut in the next few years and 1000 by 2030!! Costing N1.87 billion by the way!!! In a nation where we are finding it hard to provide enough electricity and cant even run a railway system, what are we doing with a space programme? why are our leaders dreaming like this? We cant buy a shirt but we are shopping for a bowler hat!!!! PNF, what's your take on it??

@demm: Thanks O!

@coola: still using Mtel. I'll check out th Netmeter. How are the wifi hotspots in Abj? Any free zones there?Just in case i come to town.
