There's a couple of fathers on the thread...mario2002 and da krypsta...then there's da wanqsta's who's planning on starting his family soon.
What about me, I hear you ask, well I have no plans for kids...I'll never be able to settle down to a wife, perhaps when I've 45 with a massive mkhaba(boep) and greying. Maybe then we can have a kid.

Wonder if there'll be a range of kebabs to choose from...mmmm I could murder a shish kebab or lamb doner right now!
Also hope the choice of beer will allow for a free Bud; really don't dig Stella Artois, Carlsberg, Heineken, Foster's et al too much..but hey, I ain't gonna look no gift horse in the mouth.
Now where did I put those unused Virgin simcards...

Father's Day is one of my favourite pet hates when it comes to commercializing commemorative days... I know many dads, like myself, prefer a quiet day, preferably without all the trimmings... Peace and quiet beats the sh!t out of all the fanfare which seems to be obligatory these days.
The Kryptik One has been caught offguard though... I received a message which i only read much, much later than was intended; subsequently i made a call later than expected- the missus had arranged for a brand spanking new 6680 to be delivered to yours truly, but since i hadn't responded to the message, the store had already closed... for the long weekend at that! I don't mind waiting until Monday though, when it'll be delivered to my cage

Well, my daughter's sleeping over at my cousin's tonight, so who knows, Father's Day may just arrive sooner than expected, if i've correctly interpreted the twinkle in a certain eye
I've just returned from watching Mark Sampson's comedy show, The Missing Link, at The Barn, which is a smaller theatre housed in the Opera House, which in itself is South Africa's oldest theatre, all of 113years old. The guy is totally hilarious, and the show is well worth the watch, if you're not overly-sensitive about the theory of creation vs religion. The show also reminded me of cellphone etiquette... Isn't it odd how people forget to either turn their phones off or activate Silent or Discreet mode? A few minutes into the show somebody's phone rang, prompting him to comment, in a very humorous way, "What a k*k ringtone!" Needless to say, nobody's phone rang audibly after that

Congrats on the new phone Kryptik. I've stopped going to the movies because people are so annoying, from ringing cellphones to loud chewing of popcorn to people sitting in your seat...I won't be going to the cinema unless they bring out another Lord of the Rings movie or something like the Matrix.
I've only had my new phone a week and already it has to go for a firmware update...I hope the new firmware allows me to choose between GSM, UMTS and Dual Mode because I hardly ever get a 3G signal even though Cape Town has got blanket coverage the phone always chooses GSM.
