The Reg seem to have a bit of a thing going against SE recently. I can only think it must have been a slow news day for them.

sorry to go off topic, but you'd appreciate what "jah" refers to if you grew-up in North London or Jamaica (look-up "irie" while you are searching)
I & I is everywhere!
Jah brings a Natural Mystic to all things, na man! Nevah mind dem abusing ya. where about ya fam from? Kingston? My family is from Montego Bay, well Sandy Bay actually. My uncle's pad overlooks Sangster Airport.
You can imagine what its like visiting and staff see's my last name, even the liquor store, older peeps are wide eyed. My dad actually looks like him. Scarry as I dont think we're related, too many uncle's to be sure though.

Anyone else that have problem with the scheduled email download function? I try to set it to check my IMAP every 15 minutes but it donīt do this. I have only get it to work a couple of times. I have enabled the IDLE function and are using the latest firmware.
It seems that the phone forgets to check the mail. Anyone else with this problem?

Has anyone had problems trying to uninstall... and keep software uninstalled?
When i first got the p990i..... i installed alot of software (trial) to test it out.
I only install software on the memory stick... and after a period of time i started uninstalling stuff.
I notice however, after doing a USB sync.. or removing the memory stick and replacing.... that it goes into a software install mode... where it asks to install software x, y and z.
Currently there are 4 pieces of software which keep triggering the install dialog. I have checked that the sis file no longer exists on the memory stick and have also gone into the directories (which can be accessed) and removed reference to any other objects i can identify for the particular software.
I just don't know where the phone is finding the softare to which it keeps asking to install. EVEN AFTER i install it again.... this dialog keeps appearing after a usb sync, or after removing and replacing the memory card.
Any ideas?????

@Indiandawg
the inbulit pc file manager is very slow...
you can turn on the usb file transfer option and then transfer files to the memory card.. it s a bit faster..
the fastest method is to use a memory card reader...
my disc to phone and phone usb method was working initially but for some unknown reason it has stopped working......
i will have to work that out , when i get time but till then i am using memory card reader for my 4gb card from sandisk...
i think with the new firm ware some of the above issues might also get solved
