Fellow Estato-ians
I'm new to this forum, but I've been following this thread and the Mini/Mini Pro threads for about 6-7 months now, and I’ve been a massive fan of
S.E. (Ericsson) products ever since I got the stunning T39 (the first phone to ever have B/tooth built-in) way back when... I stuck with it until they released the next big one the K750i in which I
had to get next, and until this day I still use them both from time to time. I simply can't afford to go and buy each of the latest top phones that

release every 9-12months (although tempted with the W995 & Satio), as I am on Pay&Go (don't like being tied to Contracts, especially now the contracts are getting longer).
My method is to always wait for the next big developments in

then wait a little longer to rid the teething problems common in these advances then buy (get) the next release. I'm long overdue, so now as you can guess I am now desperate to get my next high-end

phone.
My situation is, do I go for the X10i now, knowing that it’s possibly getting an upgrade to this:
Please Happen!!!
(Sorry can't get the above Link to work....) Goto: (www)(sefanboy)(.com) then scroll half way down the page: (4th July 2010), (Sony Ericsson Xperia X10-Will get Froyo-2-2-Update)
Or wait a little longer and see what will supersede the X10 next year with

's next top Android release (with all the X10’s teething problems ironed out and possibly with the inclusion of Multi-Touch, Amoled technology and Wi-Fi 802.11/n ).
If I go with the latter option, I’m gonna get an X10 mini/mini pro for now as they are at a very good price right now (£170> pay&go, £180-£190 Sim Free) as I need to have my
Sony Ericsson fix!!!
What are everyone's views on this situation? And is there anyone else thinking along the same lines? (Buy Now, or Buy Later?)

Just got an update via Update Service, this new firmware is awesome! I personally think call volume has increased but could be my imagination...I'm on generic global, but i think the phone was using indonesian firmware as it installed something called VivaNews which I uninstalled straight away...Timescape and Mediascape is much faster now, backup app is a welcome app and overall usability has improved I think...not to mention the fact the camera no longer forgets faces...I'm still really loving this phone after so many weeks of use....battery life has never been a problem for me, as long as you turn off the location by wireless networks in settings...Android 2.1 on the X10 along with HD recording and DLNA would make it the best phone ever...

Word on the web, regarding Android 3.0, is that the 512mb ram is not a requirement but a
recommendation.
