I'm sorry to see that there are stability issues with some K750 and W800 phones with Sarmad 5.8.. unfortunately, there isn't too much I can do since I have designed the driver for the W810 (the phone I have).. I might make a K750 version in the future, I'm not sure.. but if a W810 user has crashes, please let me know.. as that should not happen.

Now I e-mail-ed my friend (he has w810) who is in the village now and asked him to test your 5.7 and 5.8 at night and low light conditions for stability issues. I think camdriver wont crash even once on w810. That stability issue should only be on K750 and W800, but we will realize everything tonight or tomorrow morning when my friend tests 5.7 and 5.8.
And I know it is hard to create a driver for a phone you dont have, but I will be ready for testing anytime if you create k750 one.

well, if something has to be wrong then it is only register 6 faulty usage. take care of $s6 and $b6 commands in whole code. i used reg 6 as a storage for individual bits to describe various driver features states. because of this idea, reg 6 in your driver has many collisions, for example: set any WB color to automatic (1.0) value and snapshot will be taken with EM usage (reason is $b6 01 7 1), after camera open 1st picture is always with EM. after EM shot every next shot will be without EM

Thank you raiderski, I will take care of it

@leetiran: could you tell me more about it, I dont get it. And what formware are you using?

@sniperwolf: How are you doing? Is A4A-6.2 alright?

Sarmad, I don't know yet is it so or not definitely, but I think I found something about Sarmad 5.7/5.8 stability issue on K750/w800.

I have just edited your 5.8. here is the link: http://downloads.wow-info.net[....]armad5.8_edited_Power_VANO.dat I only removed comments and made one line separate instead of two in some places. It is 11:30 here in Georgia, so I couldnt darken the room I used yesterday for testing. I went in the bathroom, turned off the lights and opened the door slightly to allow some light to come into the bathroom. Then I took about 40 pics with different settings using FINE Quality+EM. played with LED and Nightmode but surprizingly, I was not able to crash camera!

but still I dont know if this is the real issue. Tonight I will test this modified camdriver with the same scene as i used yesterday, so I will definitely understand if the comments in driver were the issue for the stability.

np

I have done a little testing in daylight using Sarmad 5.8 and A4A 6.2

Sarmad 5.8
Fine Quality+EM+Self Timer

Sarmad 5.8
Fine Quality+EM

A4A 6.2
Fine Quality+EM+Self Timer (Macro on)

A4A 6.2
Fine Quality+EM (Macro on)

here you can see the full sized pics:
Sarmad 5.8
http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/3231/dsc00931uw7.jpg
http://img212.imageshack.us/img212/8071/dsc00933ge0.jpg

A4A 6.2
http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/5422/dsc00935re3.jpg
http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/316/dsc00940dp6.jpg

And here are the differences:
between the first shots with Sarmad 5.8 ad A4A 6.2
5.8 used Exposure time 1/2000 sec
6.2 used Exposure time 1/2500 sec

5.8
Compression Ratio: 10.95:1
Bits per pixel: 2.19:1

6.2
Compression Ratio: 11.10:1
Bits per pixel: 2.16:1

Between the second shots with Sarmad 5.8 and A4A 6.2
5.8 used Exposure time 1/6400 sec
6.2 used Exposure time 1/6400 sec

5.8
Compression Ratio: 10.88:1
Bits per pixel: 2.21:1

6.2
Compression Ratio: 11.25:1
Bits per pixel: 2.13:1

Also length and JpegIFByteCount have a bit bigger values in Sarmad pics. And Sarmad 5.8 produces a bit bigger files compared to A4A 6.2.
