I already said it, i´m having ALOT less problems than before, ...

SE should give a look to this, and not just the memory problems, all users should have the same experience

I agree with both of these. I also have much less problems compared to before the update.
I did the format+master reset routine before the update, so theoretically the basic phone should be pretty much the same as yours and from what I've been able to follow our P990s almost act the same way. My "Yes" reboot only happened once, so I can't say it is a consistent problem.
I think to be able to compare the phones, all users should do the format+master reset routine and avoid restoring from backups. That way we will have a clear indication of what works and what doesn't.

Hi, Guys,

Do you know why I cannot update CDA: CDA162008/64 R3A01 it says I have the latest firmware.

I am not sure which country this phone was issued to...

Anyone know of any service centres in Central London? Will see if I can get some answers for my Orange P990i.

The Carphone Warehouse will flash your handset under warranty, free of charge, regardless of whether you bought it from them, and they have service centres in many of the larger stores. You can find your nearest one on their website:

http://www.carphonewarehouse.[....]TIC.REPAIRS.EXPRESSREPS.LONDON

Obviously back up your data first!

Why do they do it for free? Is there anything that we need to show them to show it's under warranty?

It helps if you bring your proof of purchase which shows the date, but there's also a date of manufacture (build week) inside the phone on the label, near the top right-hand corner - for example, mine says "06W37", which means 2006, week 37. So even if you don't have your receipt, you can show that the phone is within its first year's warranty by looking at this label.

At this time all P990s should be under warranty. Theoretically (!) all official SE service centers should provide service to P990 regardless of location and proof of purchase, perhaps only checking for reported stolen phones. However, we all know the rules of economics work otherwise

Actually, from personal experience, you cannot recieve service from any SE service center. Depending on where you purchased the phone (P990 to my knowledge), that is where you will be able to receive service for your phone under warranty. And sometimes the problem is, if you send your phone to the original country where the phone was purchased, the SE service center may not send the phone back to anywhere outside of that country. It's a huge pain, I know. I lived through it. There's a blurb in the manual about this, under the warranty details.

I just read more previous postings in this thread, if you are taking it to a nearby SE service center in the country you purchased the phone, it should be alright. =)
My situation was frustrating... just thought I'd let people know.
