Please confirm if it's true...

That the Mini pro doesn't come with extra back covers?

True, they only come with the cover you ordered, so black or red

Ok, I haven't read the 40 pages, so sorry if this has already been discussed.

I've been told that X10 Mini Pro saves recorded videos in 3gp format. Is this true? Is there any way I can choose mp4 format instead?
Can anyone tell me how the file-name looks of a saved video and picture file? I guess I wouldn't be so lucky that they're using date-names at last? "yyyy-mm-dd hh-mm-ss.mp4" would be really nice.

(Can anyone tell me why I just can't find a codec for my Ubuntu Linux box that'll let me play the sound in 3gp files? I only see the video part).

Not not only does it save in 3GP(SAMR codec) , but the videos are only readable on the X10 mini, VLC does not decode samr files.
You need quicktime and the quality becomes like shit on your PC.

Have you tried installing K-Lite Codec Pack, it has many codecs including quicktime ones, with it I can watch all kind of movies in Windows Media Player for W7

Has anyone tried a MicroSD Class 4 or 6 card in their minis?? I'm planning to buy one, but don't want to find out it doesn't work properly ...

Thanks

hi, new to the forum and i am looking at getting an x10 mini on monday from orange.

can someone tell me if the mini is compatible with the MW600 bluetooth headset and does the phone come with just the lime back cover with the phone.

i really don't like the lime colour so would like to know if i will have to buy a black or silver one from ebay for when my phone gets delivered.

Luckily I learned a long time ago, that you should never assume anything, like e.g. "Well of course the fileformat is mp4... they can't be stupid enough to choose an ancient format that's only readable on the phone and very few other players....", or "Well of course there's auto-focus. They've made phones with auto-focus for some time now, so they can't be stupid enough to suddenly remove that."

Never assume anything.

I'll keep an eye on updates. 3gp videos are simply useless, so I'm sticking with my Aino for a while yet.

Even more useless when the phone has the hardware for 720p video recording (assuming the 128Mb ram is not too limiting..... which now I think about it, it probably is! ).
