Afternoon all,

I should shortly be joining your exclusive club, thanks (very very much!) to themarques! My PSP is currently en route to the depot, if Parcelforce are to be believed (...but why break the habit of a lifetime!)

My first question, and I have no doubt that there will be many more, is what is the likelihood that I will have to pay some form of import duty/VAT and, if so, how much is this likely to be?

I'm almost positive that this has been discussed earlier in this thread, but I have not yet had the opportunity to read the whole thing (it will be done).

Your experiences on this not particularly exciting of subjects...?

Dave

lol i had to pay £44.75

and BTW i really dont think Sony Will open UMD's to the world except developers! think about it! ppl will start hacking the PSP and various other stuff and u wudnt really think that sony would star putting moovies on UMD's if ppl could do it themselves its obvious they will not open UMD's to ppl like us

45 squid?!!! Wasn't expecting that much - guess I probably should have been though. So that's about 17.5% of the value plus a bit for handling etc....

Oh well - still worth it, judging by the enthusiasm I see around here. And for not having to wait till June!

Having received my PSP (at a wonderful) price from themarques I did NOT have to pay ANY import tax or any other fees.
I suspect he'll have sent yours the same way so u probably won't need to worry either.

Didn't u lot who got charged all buy from websites?
