The Ericsson R600 brings you entertainment, news and creative messages 24 hours a day. It supports GPRS, a technology that makes the mobile Internet faster to access and easier to use. You can download pictures and ring signals, and find the right information when you need it the most. The R600 also has EMS, letting you insert pictures, animations, sound effects and ring signals into your text messages.
And to make the R600 more personal, you can have a background picture in the display in standby and change the background light to a colour you like. The background colour can also be assigned to a contact in the phone book to give you a hint on who is calling.

More info on R600... quite interesting, it does not use T9! instead it uses what Ericsson calls eZiText. i wonder how fast (or slow) it is compared to T9. It has all the productivity stuff, calendar, alarms, stopwatch, calculator, games. It has EMS, background pictures, customizable screensaver, 4 different backlight colors that can be associated with a caller, profiles. It is also compatible with DRS-10/11 for PC connectivity... so much for a P6,000 pesos phone!

i like the r600 and prefer that over the t65. it has bigger buttons and all the features that i often use. too bad it came out only now and not earlier for i would've bought it instead of the t65. i will get one as soon as i sold my t65 but that is my problem. mostly nokia phones are easy to sell and not this kind of phone.
