depends on the network, as vodacom has been very shaky lately... i have been experiencing alot of downtime on voda lately... the main thing about the virgin deal is, that it may force voda and mtn to reduce their costs
mmmm but what network is their data using?? Vodacom rite, so they still have to pay Voda a percentage, and make less profit, they wont last, in terms of networks, Voda and MTN wont fall for some newbie trying to challenge them... let them feel the heat first.
Well thats how Id do it!

virgin got 8 million users world wide, i dont think they gonna make a big impact at first, but i think they do have a future in this country as they are a bit cheaper than the rest

786KBR: I beg to differ, I believe they'll be using Cell C's data network. Doubt there would've been any deal if they still had to Vodacom's data network.
@francois: Are you serious about voiding your warranty? If you've got a DSU cable and Davinci credits you could do it yourself although it's quite risky. May the force be with you. Just send all pics to my email craggybits AT gmail.com

I'm thinking of doing it the Shopfront route since I have no way of obtaining credits for DaVinci. Just wondering about a SE shop at Vodaworld? Is there one?
Another quick question, totally unrelated: my friend is being sucked into a multi-level marketing scheme(At least, I highly suspect it is one) called "Millenium Leisure International". Anyone here able to pick up any dirt on them? Don't want this friend screwed over: he is a good chap. The meetings for this thing is in Sandton every night, and so on. If more info is needed, I will try to dig it up...But it is hard to get info out of him..They want you to come to the meeting, and you have to pay R50 every night....I am not willing to waste money to go find out.

Francois, the quickest way to find out about the legality of any MLM scheme is to contact the Financial Services Board on (tollfree from a landline) 0800-110-443 or email them at

@francois: Mellenium Leisure International is a scam, tell your friend to stay away. About the

Service Centre, something tells me there should be one at Vodaworld, or a Vodashop that could do it for you.
@jmash: Broer, the response has been quite crappy on my end. I've only received one pic and that's the one with you and your beautiful baby.
