sanj,
if u wanna share connection with streamyx via BT or cable, P900 isn't wat you would want... a BT enabled Palm OS Tungsten T3 is what you would want
it is possible though... if someone writes a software for it, maybe u can try MochaPPP which makes your BT dongle into a serial port and MAYBE the P900 can connect to that serial port...
I checked my z600 and I noticed in "phone ervices" under Bluetooth option, there is "Serial port" there.... so maybe can la. I can't try it out coz i dun have a BT dongle myself. Maybe someone can try it out?
u have to set up a connection from your phone to the PC via the serial port. This makes your phone connect to the PC and connect to the net via your existing streamyx connection.
i think it is possible... just have to try la...
yup, i was right -
http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=1202
they can do it with a nokia 3650, so it's no problemo with a p800/900
the mRouter they are referring to must be bundled with their TDK BT adapter... but that's no problem.
anyway sanj, hope this make your day

Don't get me wrong, bird watching is GREAT

but u see, if my bro is playin' CS or hogging the net, i can just plug in a usb

adaptor into my laptop and connect it to the P900 and surf away. Also, at night, i can leave my laptop on the table and use the p900 to browse esato and stuff in the dark while laying on the bed, don need to turn on the light to surf mah, when tired just disconnect and go to sleep ... hav u tried using a computer in total darkness ?!?! Aiyoh ! Mata sakit lor .... Another thing, no stupid wires lah ! More freedom of movement !

Oh yeah, i oso hav too much free time
There, hope that cleared it up

i still don't see ya point.... instead of getting a p900. why don't u get PDA with Wi Fi Connectivity? it's more cost effective. with RM2000 u can get the PDA and 300+ u can get a Wi Fi router. it's still cheaper than buying a P900.
maybe u have ya own reason but to us..... if u rich and u can afford it. go for it.....

@fulat,
u beat me to it... damn!
@sanj,
fulat is right... instead of surfing like dat... isn't it better and cheaper and cost effective by getting a PDA wif WiFi? okay maybe wifi on a PDA will be battery sucking, so why not a BT enabled PDA? It's wireless and well, it's a real PDA.... and whenever u wanna have separate devices u still have ur phone and PDA individually... dun get me wrong, i wished i had the p900 too but it's more for the geek factor than the practicality of the whole idea.
With Wi-Fi guess wat man? u can have ur laptop on your bed, in your toilet, in your kitchen and you still can surf the net at ADSL speeds
ok that's just my 2 cents... u get the p900 also good, we get to play with it bwahahahahaha

sanj,
son, if want the P900 for the surfing purpose... it's not very practical in my mind. unless u wanted that to me... but using RM3000 for a P900 for that purpose it's crazy to me. and yet buying a second hand pc will nto cost u more than 1k to solve all ya problem. well.... i rest my case... we are just being helpful to show u the pro and con. hope that don't offenced u..... cheers dude....
