ok, perhaps not, but they do lock and hevily brand their phones, my W850 lasted about 15 mins till it was onto wotanserver to de-brand.

Buntoo, you are asking questions that have opinionated answers. What to do with your phone is your decision. Your options are to flash it with 3rd party or send it to SE. Go to SE website, find their number in your area, call them, and see what they say and whether there is a service center in your are or mail it in. It's up to you.

Phones been fine since updating, until today
couple of things, it says its faster starting up. However the first pin code takes ages for the cursor to start blinking to accept a code..
and then today it went all strange, and now when i press the down jog key, it activates the right hand touch screen button function at same time? few other keys activate other functions they are not associated with aswell.
has this been a reported problem? solution?

mine did that after i had dropped it, the touch screen buttons moved had to have it repaired. Dont think its software related !!

Hi to you all I am on 037 and with little bugs that i can live with, isn't wise to downgrade back 037 and wait untill a next FW release hit the servers becuase as far as what i am reading eventually all 031 sooner or later produces the BROD. this just my humble opinion

Dude goto SE site (official) and select phone support. Send from that site Fido MMS directly via SMS PUSH to your phone. Powercycle and first send yourself an MMS.
