I don't seem to be able to recive any big MMS-pics. All is downcoverted to something like 176x220 and is like a thumbnail on the screen! I have tried to send from diffrent mobiles and diffrent carriers. Same result no mather what..
Sending without changing the pics, and have tired to downsize it to 640x480 as well, still end up with the super-small one.
Anyone got any idea? The MMS-setting in my phone is on the largest image, and that probably is only active when sending MMS, not recieving.

If you have sent them all to the same number, this might be a restriction of the recipient's carrier.
Try sending from
A-Cell to A-Cell
B-Cell to B-Cell
etc.

And how are people finding battery life? I find it quite poor, seems there is always a data link even when idle. I turn it off manualy only to find it stays on when an app uses it.
As for email, even when connected to Wi-Fi, the email client switches the 3G data link on to send/recieve.
Thanks JD
Hi JD,
I'm also on Vodafone, and I've already had a conversation with Sony Ericsson and Vodafone about the Wi-Fi issue. Wi-Fi does not work, even though you can connect to it, it won't use that connection. Both sets of developers are working to find a solution, so you can bear with it, or move networks where phones are unbranded if it's important to you.
Personally I'm not too bothered as the non-Wi Fi connection is fast enough for me at the moment.
In short - Vodafone reprogrammed and made a mess of it, BTW if anyone has the new C905, the same problem exists.
As for battery life, hmmm I haven't really given it a good go, as I've been playing with it, and adding new functions whilst it's charged from my laptop. Will let you know when I have a day of "normal" activity.

@the mont
Chris thanks for taking the time to reply to my post, it was really useful to hear that Wi-Fi was unusable on VF branded devices...sounds like VF firmware strikes again!
As you are another VF user did you also notice that there is no English version of WAYFINDER on the enclosed disk? Wondering if this was just a VF issue or just a me issue. (I did download it from a website however...www.getwf.com for those that may have the same problem)
Lastly and most importantly to me thought is the signal, can you or anybody else report on the reception level. My own experience is that in a poor reception area I was getting 2 bars on my p1 whilst getting nothing at all on the X1. I have 7 more days to decide to keep it or not so I am really interested to know if anybody else has an issue with this. I don't want my desire to like and want this phone to blind me to a short coming such as bad reception. I work for the emergency services and at times it is critical I have a phone that gets good reception.
Thanks JD

Are you meant to remove the plastic behind the screen?

I've left it on. you never see it and it keeps the underside a bit more protected I guess, though from what I don't know!

I wasn't sure if it was some kind of support and maybe the slider would wobble without it. Will prob leave it on but when typing with keyboard sometimes a catch the edge of it .

Unless keyboard is a must.

for me, these days, its no longer a must
since using the diamond with its excellent virtual keyboards I really don't feel the need for anything physical, and if that makes the devices thinner then all the better!
