@jmash: Unfortunately the one you sent was also quite large...it's cool when you're viewing it on a PC but it doesn't look too nice when I'm trying to post them in the thread.

@Rhino: I think I'll be following the sage advice from da krypsta and use Photorite instead which is a pretty neat application for taking pics.

Use IrfanView buddy. Did any of you hear about another police man been shot dead in Naboomspruit/Limpopo :( I have decided to support http://www.news24.com/News24/South_Africa/News/0,,2-7-1442_1959605,00.html What worries me is the opennis in which broad day light criminals treat to kill the author :( and nobody can do anything about it. He had to cancel a tv interview because of this treads. If you have a relative or know of someone who has been murdered ask if they allow for pictures to be published and contact me (pm) . The police should have some pictures somewhere of the crime scene. Officially we are not allowed to give info to the public because of the moratorium but after 15years in the police I know my way around. A bit of photoshopping (angle change) will make it impossible for anyone to point to anybody. Discretion is the game. Greetings from Jeffrey's.mario This message was posted from a Nokia

I think the website is a great idea. Glad somebody is doing it. The South African government is screwing us by letting companies in which they own shares have unlimited control over communications. The money they get out of that should be put to better use, like in making being a police officer worth it, rewarding those who put their life on the lines with what they deserve. We need 5 times as many police as we have, if not more.

Quick mention: My little sisters @$$ of a boyfriend sleeps over sometimes. When that happens, she has to sleep in my parents room=)

P.I.M.P, welcome here...I am also fairly new here, so we are on the same boat sort of.

Oh yeah, where/what websites do you guys get your news from? My favourites are www.hellkom.co.za & www.theregister.co.uk, usually the odds section. It is also the home of the BOFH(Bastard Operator From Hell) If you don't know him, go there, find him. Start at the beginning. This is highly recommended for all PC freaks, nerds, and people who enjoy a little dark humor.

Ps. where is the page with the pics on Brix25? Also, what size should the pictures be? If you give us a X&Y size, I should resize it a little better for your usage.

Oh my word guys, I just pulled a prank on one guy at my office. Everyone was in on it! Some background. The guy who we pulled it on is a young chap that is learning programming at our company. He went off to the shops to get food, so I got the boss to lend me his bluetooth dongle, plugged it into his pc, set it up, and started screwing around while he was trying to work. My friend Ivan recorded it on his phone which we placed nearby. Quickly finding somewhere where I can upload it...The file is a 3gp file, and is about 4megs in size....post link just now....

@mario2002: Neil Watson is misguided if he thinks that "embarassing" the government by publicising crime on his website will get government to lower the crime levels. I wonder how many black victims of crime will follow Wilson's lead and contribute to his sick website because I sense that it's an all-white affair.

IMO the main contributor to crime is South Africa's uneven distribution of wealth, until we close the gap between rich and poor crime will always be a problem. Watson does not seem the grasp the socio-economic issues and instead goes the route of blaming government for all that is wrong with this country, they are partly responsible but we are not blameless.

The best thing Wilson could probably do is get up to the Mexico/Texas border crossing and request asylum on the grounds that his pale skin makes him a potential victim of crime...The Americans will probably laugh in his face and send him back to that country called Africa.

Concerning that comment, true that it is not necessarily the governments fault, but look at this, they for example wanted to change Pretoria to Tswane. All nice and well, but do you have any idea how many mouths that money could feed?

I have decided that instead of being negative about the country the best I could do is to try to get to a point where I can employ people. If people were employed, they won't need to steal. I want all people to live. If I can make a difference in somebody's life, that would be great...

@francios: Indeed, that's the spirit.

Regarding Pretoria, many people actually don't care what the place is called but for a few whities the thought of changing the name of the former capital of the ZAR is unimaginable, almost as unimaginable as living under a black regime was to PW Botha and his cronies back in the early 80s.

Changing the name of Pretoria to Tshwane is certainly not going to cost billions, and it won't happen overnight in fact it will be a slow process...maybe also painful for those who reminisce about the Zuid Afrikaansche Republiek before the salty dicks messed things up.
