A low weekend @ PNF I see...

Maybe it was my Fani-Kayode comment.....

I spent this weekend watchin my Arnold Schwarzenegger collection: Terminator 1,2,3 and Commando. Two more to go: True Lies and Eraser. I was also feelig bad about my life... how things are not going "as hoped"... blah-blah-blah. Hope you guys had a nice weekend.

@London I never see a link between the big grammar of the UN Agencies and the situation on the ground here in Nigeria. Maybe its those grants that our Government now says it is providing. I also don't know of any discrimination against sex-workers and druggies here. But free ARV's are not available yet.

I am very happy about the shift to "Zip up" in the campaign here in Nigeria. The condom campaign was just nonsense. I remember Gold Circle condom was sponsoring all those "Awareness" campaigns on HIV/AIDS in the NYSC camps. The flyers were just Gold Circle condoms advertorials. So even though they taugh about Abstience, they were really pusing their condoms. Then they will distribute free condoms and Guys will be happy. Condoms encourage indiscipline. I prefer the Zip-up. "You got no biz doing it kiddo!"

The story also seem to suggest that with enoguh money, HIV/AIDS can be wiped out. I wonder if that is possible. As long as people continue to jump from partner to partner like dogs, the problem will remain. We got to work on our minds first.

But, the biggest surprise for me is HOW COME NIGERIA'S PREVALENCE RATE IS STILL SO LOW. I still suspect our Government cooks these figures.

So, what else is up for discussion this week?

Hi all, GPRS returned to my location over the night, so I'm back online.

@Angel: how far?

@London_uk: That all looks good on paper, its the implementation that poses the greatest challenge. But I'm glad that the HIV/AIDS pandemic is finally getting the attention it deserves.

@Coola: Things not going as planned? what "things" may this be? I tot u'd be happy now that u can watch DVD's in bed

Amby i will check out the Gprs tonight.

Coola i think the next topic of discussion should be NITEL's Strike, its affecting our dial up business here, and we have also been experiencing poor interconnectivity among the PTO's, since they connect through nitel.

I'm sorry to ask this, I'm so out of tune. Why is NITEL on strike? Its high time the PTO's got wiser and routed their interconnection thru Glo. NITEL is so unreliable.

@london-uk, welcome to PNF, that was a lovely contribution bout HIV/AIDS. You sound so much like one involved with organisations monitorin the MDG's like Millennium Campaign.

I saw on the front page of The Sun yesterday that Katung had won Big Brother Nigeria. Anyone has the full gist? ... lets's hear from anyone who kept up with the show.
