Hi All
New to this forum...to the sony ericsson...and to memory sticks in general....so please excuse my total ignorance. I've just upgraded to a 750i. The phone came with a 64MB memory stick in the phone and I've purchased a 256Mb Sony Pro Duo Stick. Problem:-
I've read enough to know that I nee to format the new stick before the phone will recognise it...but how? Cant find anywhere on the phone to do it and although my pc has a mem stick slot that recognises the 64MB card and what's on it when I slot that card in using the adapter, the pc wont recognise the new card. Is that 'cos it's not formatted? If so....it seems a bit of a 'chicken and egg' situation. How can I format the card?
I don't know what you've been reading, but it's rare to need to format before use. Is the card reader you have MS DUO Pro compatible?

1)Is sandisk more reliable then sony
I can't totally say YES, I manage to USE both . . . but mostly, SONY ones. Whatever will be your choice . . . just MAKE sure that it is under warranty, so you can have it replaced if ever it goes - berserk. Original Sony cards at my end HAVE up to - 5 years . . . warranty.
2)Can i use sandisk in my sony digicam or any other sony product where sony pro duo is supported
As long as the card is COMPATIBLE with the gadget (fone, PSP or digicams) I'm sure it will work . . . they just DIFFER in - brands and Sony have High-Speed features, don't know with the Sandisks . . .
3)Im having K750i, i want to have 2gb card in it does my phone support it.
For what I know of . . .
K750i can support UP TO - 2 GB, though when I was about to sell my 1 month-old K750i, the potential buyer told me that it can only HOLD - 1 GB ones
I insisted that it can hold up to 2 GB , as what I have read here . . .
4)what will be the price diffrence between sony & sandisk for 1 & 2 gb card in Indian Rs.
I am not sure how the cards is priced at India mate
Hope that helps . . . even a BIT

I have a question.
I have an SE P990i, what memory stick pro duo can it recognize? Only up to 2GB or I can use the 4GB also?
Also, can I use the High Speed (Sony) or the Ultra II (Sandisk) 2 or 4 GB memory stick pro duo? Or I can only use the normal speed ones?
Thanks for the help guys!

have just recieved my 512mb M2 - it's tiny!- however it's only reading at 455mb!!
I know they use some space for file directories and stuff, but 57mb seems a bit much?!
Any Ideas?

I'm also using a 512MB right now on my P990i, after a reformat it's reading 462MB (or 467MB can't remember exactly).
