I've got the push inbox in the messages menu on R5A. Think that was introduced in R5A.

I've also got R5D007 on mine now but I dont recognize any difference either in comparison with R5C. The big difference was between R2x and R5x!

These firmware upgrades are turning into soap operas here on esato. It always follows this patern:

Enthusiast says: "Look, cool, I got the new upgrade, it is SOOO fast!" Sometimes this statement is spiced up with statements that the SMS tone is louder, the vibrator stronger. What is next? LEDs brighter? Phone lighter?

The next phase is the doubters: "I didn't notice any improvement..."

Last there is someone who actually knows: "R5C and R5D only differ in that MMS configuration doesn't get erased".

To all entusiasts out there: PLEASE don't bother to put any statements about speed, SMS tone etc if you cannot confirm it.

Anyone here with R5D and Parrot CK3000 BT Carkit? Does it work again? Because with R5A020, it does not

Greetz,
Rog.

I've used my CK3000 with R1B, R2B and now R5C. Have not had any problems. What's not working for you?

That's interesting... With R5A, the Parrot tries to connect th phone, but then, it doesn't get any further... no synhronization, I'm not able to open the Parrot-Menue in my mobile, and the phone remains connected (which, with earlier SW-Versions, wasn't the case). Also, I'm not able to make or receive any calls.

Greet,
Rog.

I agree w Jas. Do not post changes you noticed on new firmware released if you cannot confirm it. SMS tone and increased speed among other bug fixes occurred in R5a. I just upgraded to R5D from R5C. Aside from the MMS settings upgrade not being erased, the following are what I noticed so far. T9 entry and scrolling down a wap page is a bit faster compared to R5C. Opening menus and pictures also a bit faster too. Ring and SMS tone still the same after the improvement in R5a. So far no errors with my HBH-30 and palm BT connection yet. Will keep you guys posted for anything new. This post was posted from a WAP device

Has anyone noticed any change in call quality / signal strength with the new R5x versions ? I upgraded from R2F to R5C about a week ago and have experienced problems with dropped calls and often bad signal strength ever since.

I am wondering if this is perhaps one reason why R5D came out just over a week after R5C ... ?

Rog,

have you tried deleting the CK3000 from your paired devices list and re-pairing? I had a similar problem once while playing with R2B and the auto handsfree profile (added to the accessories list). My t68 got stuck and wouldn't communicate with the CK3000. Everything went back to normal after deleting and re-pairing. Hope that works for you too. I don't think its a version specific problem, although R5A was only available for one week before being replaced by R5B...
