well, i once let my k700 fall down my house's stairs and nothing happened. I thought that screen had got broken or something worse, nothing happened but turned it off and i just turned it on again.
With my k750 i've been very carefully. I bought a silicone cover unlike my k700.

The bad build quality of SE handsets has finally gotten to me, my k750s joystick hardly works and I am awaiting a new microswitch so I can use the camera again... I don't even want to get started on the creeky wobbley housing. After 3 years of using SE handsets I'm sorry to say that the k750 will be my last.

i like the build of the w800. for me its great except for the rubber stopper that covers the msduo, and the chrome soft keys kind of loosing its paint, but that's minor gripes i could live with. my next phone if ever i won't like my w800 is a w900, i know it might be old but i think it is sturdy.

My K700 fell from about 8 feet straight to a concrete floor. The only damage is a slightly dented corner -- it isn't even obvious. All functions are still normal.

I'm not seeing the "horrible quality" of the k750. I've dropped mine, sliding away onto concrete, multiple times with only a few small scratches as a result. The only weak point is the joystick, but sucking away the dust with some air solves that right up.

I've been using my D750i for almost a year. The screen is very easy to scratch. The case isn't hermetic. I have lots of dust on my screen. I'm treating this phone as my own balls - always protected. My girl had it only a few times in her hands (and droped it once!)
Joystick is still working but I have the feeling that something is about to crack.
Summarize: I love that phone and I think it's build is good enough (way better than K750i).
