The image stabilizer can only be used when you have poor light conditions, for example in the Twilight landscape mode.

@kallegod.

I wonder why that is. You mean it you can't have it on by default.

That doesnt make sense.

Image stabiliser comes on because believes people get more shaky in the dark?!!!

Is it just me or artifacts on object edges are really more noticeable in K800i photos, because of the strong sharpening filter being applied (IMO, it's too much)?

I just found the possibility to turn it on also in usual Landscape mode and the Beach/snow mode, so what I said of poor light conditions, isn't true. But when you choose automatic mode, you cannot find the image stabilizer...

Strange! There must be a reason why it can't be used.

Which menu is image stabiliser on??

I can find the stabilizer only when I'm in menu Scenes and choose Landscape, Twilight landscape or Beach/Snow. In video the stbilizer seems to be visible all the time. You must self turn it on or off.

No, but the exposure time is much longer in poor light conditions than in good light conditions. The longer it is the more likely you will get a fuzzy picture due to hand shake. With other words the stabiliser makes more sense in poor lighting condition than in good lighting condition.
