I was in the old part of Dubai yesterday and was shopping around the souks(?) and a guy had one for sale in-store... obviously I bought it
Pretty chuffed, haven't used it much as I don't have the time, but i'm hoping to visit him again before I leave on friday (i'm at my hotels internet office now).
The guy was asking 3500 UAE... I got him down to 2000, which is around 300GBP I think.
Where about have you checked and did they have any?
There was also a really big p990i poster at the airport on the way to passport control.
@Luke, they sell m600i here in stores at about 250GBP I think, and that slim nokia PDA thing which looks like the motorola razr type one. not sure on proce though.
Pretty impressed over here though, EVERONE I've seen had a top of the range phone, it seems every other person has an expensive one. Even in the old part they walk around with n91s!
Anyways, if you can't get hold of anymore drop me a PM and i'll see if I can bring a few back for you to give to the people on your list

I'm still on holiday so will probably do it when I get back. I won't be keeping it as the keypad is different to what i'm used to. It's not bad, metal around the screen is nice, the size did feel uncomfortable, but i'm sure i'll get used to it
Will definately be getting a UK version though, great phone, and just from holding it and not playing with it it seems "worth the wait" so to speak. Nice bit of kit, oh and the screen seems REALLY good. I've only turned it on for a few mins... but it's clear and it's nice having it with little housing border on the sides.
Will try posting in a few days time or when I get back home.||

This happens in TWO occassions here in the Middle East.
Either it was stolen or it's a chinese version.
(in the Middle East we have identical phones, they look and act identical to the original, but they're not).
I've JUST gone to stores around Bahrain today and none have the P990.
I'll go to some Gousi Mall (A mall that has ONLY mobile stores), if they don't have it, i dont know what to say.
The M600 costs 250-260 GBP.
But 300GBP is just too too too good to be true for a P990.
Every single store I've been to has quoted me 500GBP expected so far.
And I'm arabic so I know how to bargain with these people.
Give me that guys number and I'll call him and see whats going on.
