Thanks. I didn't install or configure anything up to now, so there was no threat of losing data. I tried the master reset but, unfortunately, my display profiles are still corrupt. Is there a way to reinstall the phone to "real" factory settings, meaning to revert to how the phone came "out of the box"?
Thank you so much.

@kurowiak
you'll need to reflash the firmware, remember to make sure your battery is charged

just got a new error I hadn't seen before, it said something like
"there may be a problem with messaging. You can close down messagnig now but you will lose any unsaved data"
you then get an option of YES or NO to close down
I chose NO but then messaging was not responsive and then I get the above prompt again so I chose yes and all seems well again
hmmmm...

Had an issue with the alarm clock. After I have ticked the Alarm several time I noticed that the phone set one alarm every time you tick it.
So when the alarm finally go off it rings many times (all alarm is set to the same time). And you need to dismiss many times before it stops. Can also snooze the alarms, say I snooze 2 times and turn off the 5 other alarms. then true enough it will only ring twice 5 mins later.
This is very annoying, coz I can not find anywhere to remove those zombie alarms.
This happened on R1B, but the problem persisted when I restored the backup from R1B on R3A.
I could not find any way to remove those alarms so I tried to do a backup without 'Settings'. Did a Master Reset and restored the backup.
All worked, except I noticed I had lost many of the ringtones and all but the default themes.............
Made another backup, loaded the R3A firmware again and restored the backup. And now things seems to work and all ringtones/themes are back.
Anyone seen any of those weird behaviours? And maybe found smoother workarounds ??

@jperleryd
I had a problem with my back-up so when I installed the new firmware I did not see the alarm problem as I did not restore settings. In the previous firmware you could only fix the alarm problem via a Master Reset.

Must admit I always prefer to setup the device again from scratch after a firmware update I think its a far safer option which ensures you don't carry back any duff data to the device or cause new issues.

updated to R31... latest firmware
Bugs that still exist
1. Phone restarts randomly although now very less frequently than before
2. Call clarity has been affected. Sometimes there is a lot of breaking even when signal is full strength. disconnect and reconnecting the call helps.
3. Rare memory out errors still exist
Rest seems fine for now

Hi guys,
yesterday evening I updated my phone from R1A to R3A. Seems to be faster now. Today I used the phone with deactivated 3G and the power consumtion seems to be drastically reduced.
But unfortunately I have now problems with my email. I am using IMAP with IMAP IDLE enabled. With R1A it works really good, but now there seems to be a problem.
I defined to download headers only. Seems to be still working. I see the header of the email. But if I am trying to open the email and to download the rest of the mail there is everytime an error message. Something like: Email is corrupt or cannot be opened.
As soon as I disable IMAP IDLE everything works as expected. Strange behavior.
Does anyone has similar experiences ?
Thanks,
Matthias

I've instelled R3A and I've noticed that the touchscreen calibration isn't very accurate . When I draw on the screen in the servicemenu (Servicetests -> Touchscreen) I notice that the touchscreen is unable to register anything in a 10-15 pixels wide strip along the entire left screenedge. The top and bottom margin is 5-10 pixels. Strangely enough, my touchscreen registers all contact right up to the right screen edge. (unfortunately I didn't test this before upgrading, so I don't know if this existed before)
Maybe this inproper calibration explains my difficulty in ticking the tickboxes in the Messages menu and the icons along the top and bottom edge.
How is the calibration on your M600i and do you find it difficult as well to tick/untick tickboxes?
