You will lose all content stored on the phone (contacts, messages, pictures, video, etc) when you debrand (and everything on the memory card if you leave it inserted).
Debranding removes
all operator-specific branding, so the top left icon will say "Play Now" instead of taking you to your operators portal. This also includes the custom media player (I'm not on three so I have no idea how it differs to the standard player).
Debranding is basically reloading the phone with the uncustomised firmware so settings cannot be saved (similar to the way you'd lose everything on your PC if you formatted and reinstalled Windows).

Thats good because I hate the portal 3Player. It is not a player at all, it just links you to their mp3 purchase page!
I just noticed on the free themes section of this site the icons are obviously unbranded, there is a radio icon where my '3' phone has a video phone icon.
Will I no longer be able to video phone?

Of course you will be able to video-phone. The pictures must be from the K790. On my generic K800 there is video phone icon. The radio is under entertainment.

I have been trying to use Wotanserver to flash my Orange K800i. Although I have 5 credits and the server confirms this when I check my account when I try to do the flash it stops halfway through saying "Invalid server or 0 credit". I have had no fix from Wotan as yet and I am not the only person on the Wotan forum to have this problem.
Has anyone had a similar problem? Those Orange icons are driving me mad?

I mean its only debranding, i doubt how flashing it to an official firmware will void my warrenty ? i mean do vodafone even look out for this sort of thing ??
If it does void the warrenty, can i flash the vodafone firmware back for warrenty reasons ?

I want to unlock it to be able t use t-mobile and o2 sim cards. i called 3, and they said i would have to get the registered owner on their system to call, but i have had no response from them. Is there any way i can get this phone unlocked as it is unuseable to me.If not, does anyone know when the software will be out. I am new to all this software and firmware stuff!!
