Ok here's the new version of M³, finally.

not as much added as i wanted to, but it should work a lot better now. let me know of any bugs, thanks.

It will prompt when a new version is out, so you won't need to check this thread for new versions all the time anymore.

Plans for next version are to add a total E.T.A for all files in your list, and of course music converting (ogg/wma/wav/mp3/mp4/m4a).

fixed: mov files using the Qdesign2 music codec had no sound (click, click, click etc)
fixed: badly edited avi files lost audio sync, eg. tv-rips
fixed: nero codec download would crash on slow networks
fixed: E.T.A for each encoding process now works properly
fixed: progress bars now work for most processes
fixed: crash with 2.35 aspect files (again)

added: an installer, to set things up automatically
added: ffshow codec to fix mp3 decoding problems
added: per-file options mode, select a file in "edit files" mode to set custom options for it. Can also select several at once with CTRL or SHIFT key.
added: snazzy logo (the 'video' on the phone is an actual 350kbit mpeg-4, believe it or not, will upload the movie if anyone asks for it)
added: automatic updates when new version is available
added: user selectable temp folder


changed: m3 no longer extracts any uncompressed streams, now pipes instead. This means you need much less free disk space.
changed: no more debug.txt, now lastrun.log
changed: output folder, defaults to My DocumentsMy Mobile Media
changed: cleaned up a LOT of code, so M3 now runs a bit more smoothly.
changed: process priorities, conversion no longer takes over your pc.


EDIT:

apparently it might still crash trying to download the nero codec, if so, here's how to install nero codec manually, go to this page and click "i agree" to download the codec...

you might want to try it, it gives a lot better quality than super/nero recode/mpegable/imtoo. Originally i wrote some guides on how to manually encode better movies for the w900i, and this is the same thing, only automated greatly. About 3 mouse clicks to convert any movie to unbeatable quality.

Mysh is surely a genius! I can't recommend this software enough, it's absolutely awesome. The simplicity for such a great end result is superb. And all for free?? You should at least set up some kind of paypal donate option for all your hard work, Mysh!

i downloaded the video converter app you posted above on this page for my k800i, i have installed it but it now says i need to update to a different version of the .netframework, it says i need version v.2.0.50727...what is this? and how do i do it? maybe a download link please?

yes, it is indeed possible. Just go into the Entertainment icon rather than through the file manager, and play the video through there. You can do fullscreen, pause, ffwd, zoom while in playback and take a snapshot

hm... i tried converting a video, but the video and audio were not in sync. the video was too fast.
does anybody know how to fix this?
