its is actually the " extra initialization command " to be written down in the modem properties!
actually i'd written it for the sake of simplicity!
btw, the nokia's one touch access puts it in automatically once u configure just the apn ie. celloneportal in case of bsnl!
u just have to enter apn in nokia's onetouchaccess

Don't you wanna be the very first person from your region to run this trick. Well i was from my city, and also from my state too.

@zolo the speeds are good and it rarely gives any server busy errors unlike airtel. But the problem is that not all the towers of bSNl support edge. And it also happens at times that due to some problem in network the gprs signals just vanish.
They are then seen the next day or so. So a thing of grave concern if you are a gprs addict.
I haven't tried any p2p applications. Btw i have posted a pic of ipconfig /all of this connection. See for yourself and tell me if it proves of any help or not.

There's no chance Bsnl will dare to deduct a penny provided that you haven't activated the full fledged Gprs. In that case they will overlook the trick.. And will charge you routinely. But if you have got only the portal service activated then no deduction.
This trick will work on k750i
