I have upgraded my SE K750i phone yesterday from R1CA021 firmware to R1DB001, and I have the same problem like :://riDDler!!!
What can I do??? I need the good quality for the MP3 player, becouse I bought this phone mainly for the MP3 player, and the camera! And now the quality is :S The radio is good! (Now better than the media player :S:S)

Pleas someone help me!

Hello there, you will only replace the phf_1_play.apf and phf_play.apf files (under FS/ifs/settings/acoustic as far s i can recall) and these two will save your mp3 player and the sound will be as good as it was ever before... But the critical point here is, be VERY VERY careful with FAR manager as this might cause your phone not responding or not opening... Basically changing two files is not THAT critical and dangerous, just be careful while playing inside the matrix

Here's the acoustic folder of r1ca021:

unpack the rar archive using WinRAR and select the 2 files you will be replacing with your phones... I suggest you placing the 2 on your desktop as it is very easy to find using FAR.

Then start the copying process to your phone, before doing this make sure you've read every single word on this tutorial about FAR;

processing all these steps you'll have the latest f/w with great mp3 playback quality...

Thanks a lot!!! I will try it, but I' m afraid of, that the phone will goes wrong :S I think I will wait for the next firmware, and If It won't help, than I will try the FAR, or I will ask an expert to do it...
This is the only way, to repair the media player quality?

CHeck your CDA version with DaVinci flasher [Test Cable/ Cid] key.
If you have CID49-you can't use far plugin...

how come your K750i was with CID49? curious.. but anyway, why do you need a MP3 when you already had a K750i? k750 Media Player are good imho.. well if you send your phone to service centre.. they'll fix what's wrong with your phone though..
