Hi all,
I really think this talk of what is or is not the most important thing in our choice of device is pointless. As is it not the fact that we are all individuals and all view the same products in a different light and have different needs and requirements and also priorities. Other wise there would be just one device that we would all buy and use and that would be it. I mean just how boring would that be? As the french like to say Viva La Difference.

Now back on to the actual topic of this thread personally i think the E90 is a smart looking device with outstanding abilities although it may not be for everyone. Although i am in awe of it's spec it is actually not a device i will purchase as it is more business orientated with Multimedia abilities. Where my current device the N93 is a Multimedia device with business abilities and for that reason suits my needs better.

I have been in expectation of the E90 for months - talked about it, dreamt about it, even saved for it. It meets and exceeds my expectations, except in 2 areas:

- no fax. I sorely need fax. I miss one or more fax calls every week with my current smartphone, the E61.

- cannot copy and paste text off the browser. For a device that is a credible laptop replacement, and with the kind of work I do, that hurts.

My old 9500 had fax, and I could copy, cut and paste text in the browser application. Oh, well. Its a great communicator, without doubt, but it just disappoints this old commie lover here in these 2 key areas.

Hi Fatreg,
No indeed not it is running a supercharged next step evolution that is S60 3.1 (3rd Edition Feature Pack 1) platform running on top of Symbian OS 9.2. so is in fact even better. Although all the currently available S60 3rd Edition 3rd Party apps will run on this so has loads of apps available.

In as much as I like the features of this device, I still won't get one when its released cos it doesn't have touchscreen. I wonder why Nokia stays away form touchscreen devices, seeing its the future of the mobile phone.

@amby - Since this E90 is PART and PARCEL of the communicator-series . . . it will definitely have NO touch-screen feature . . . just like with the rest of it's class. If it will have a touch-screen feature . . . I guess it's SIZE will not be as/this BIG, it's more of a mini-laptop (minus the printer) . . . but . . . yes, most of the PDAs that we see out in themarket have touch-screen feature
