I have just spoke to the online cust svc at o2. So far the information hes heard is £10 for 20mb. However again he hasn't had any details to confirm this.

be carefull about t-mobile offers. Although they look good, the small print often excludes the use of things like IM (MSN, ICQ, etc.) and Skype. They do allow these on more expensive data tariffs.

I have a tmobile data card and I am quite happy with the reception in london. But recently I moved over to a vodafone data/blackberry chip, so that I can receive BB email through my w950i and voda are lanuching some extra data tariffs soon.

O2 remains a good compromise as they do a BB tariff for £15 a month which includes 50mb data and allows IM.

Nice! Is that for certain? I mean I'll find out tommorrow but I've been ITCHING like mad to find out asap about this.

Thing is, I already gave my 50% discount away to my mum, but I've still got 7 of my 9 30%'s left for myself, so is that £20 with the 50% discount, or 30% or just on its own?

And yes, I shall post what I can in the other threads/forums about O2. Technically only been with them since the takeover of The Link in September but I've been with The Link/O2 in total 5 years in July, so I've got fair ammount of background knowledge.

That is certain, i think they are launching additional staff tariffs, howevere not sure how the current discount scheme is going to work. I been told it is available this offer to current staff customers, but then some people tell me its only available for new and upgrading staff accounts, not sure yet, but if its only available for new, then i'll drop my tariff and sell me current phone and get the new tariff lol.

If they say to you, that since you dont have the 50% on your account and you only have 30%, what you can do is swap the discount around, i.e give your mum a 30% discount on her current plan and u take the 50% discount, they can do this, if thats a requirement in order you to get the plan mentioned.

True but my Mum has the 50% for a reason lol. When O2 bought The Link in September I gave her my 50% because at the time, O2 had tariffs that were nothing like what I needed, and her old staff tariff my Dad gave her didn't give her x-net minutes or texts for her sub-£20/month, so she's now on the £35/month one for £17.50, and if I gave her a 30% she'd be paying £24.50/month, not making her that happy lol. Even if it does cost me £24.50/month I'm happy, because Three give me 300 mins and 1000 texts for £30 a month (plus 50MMS, 50 Video Minutes and £5 of downloads), so anything lower than that with as many or more minutes/texts is fine by me

@colonel_butt,

You think 50mb for £12.50 is good well on the higher tariff with T-Mobile which i believe is the same price not only do you get HSPDA, you can use it with a computer and do VOIP and get up to 3GB. Hm mm i wonder which is best LOL.
