Just because at this moment in time, SE does not have a high end device akin to the N95, is no reason to belittle or ignore the remainder of the range which competes very well in it's respective market segments.

agree with this Sofia BS. just look at the rumors thread, its got 4000 posts where users just absolutely make up their own phones, i am sorry but all the phones mentioned on its first page are NON existent. Let it go, you dont know squat, you get your expectations so high and thats why you end up disappointed.

n95 is only a good phone if you download 100mb files on hsdpa on the go regularly, record plenty of video, need plenty of high quality pics, rely on it to be your gps instead of an accurate tomtom and can recharge it very often.
But for internet surfing, emails, good quality pics when you need it, as a phone (long battery life), better mp3 player quality (subjective) and build (candybar) the P1i is better.
No point having gps with no need for it, 5mpx and vga vid and then using it rarely, hardly ever using hsdpa, if ever.
Se is doing fine.

1. I am not a Nokia fanboy. I was all about SE until they showed how little they care about support a large customer base, i.e. Mac users. SE has said publicly that Mac's are not in their roadmaps. Fair enough, however I work for the US govt as a consultant and the US was looking at purchasing a bunch of M600i's and P990's but they had to work with Mac's as the US military is now switching to a Mac computer base as well. SE simply said, no we will not do anything special for you. We don't need your biz, go to Nokia. So I recommended that the govt purchase a bunch of E61's, and some Communicators. Clearly they are not interested in a consistent paying customer. In short, they are stupid.
2. The crap I am talking about is the M600i. It is by far the worse phone I have ever used by them. A crash machine. No support for Mac. Just a waste.

M600i WAS crap as bad RAM management, un-countable bugs... But it is NOW one of the best phone from the company. If you have a chance to try out the new firmware 9F, you wil know what i am talking about. At least for myself (who have just updated to 9F) are very please with its performance since i bought it, espacially after my recent firmware update.

Your entire post is subjective and based solely on your myopic view. Sales of the N95 say otherwise.
SE is being buried alive by one phone.

You could be right my friend but for me, the M600i was a disaster. I could not wait to get rid of it. That phone helped me to switch to Nokia. Glad I did.

You are 100% correct it is now some 8-9months later after launch, i had mine after the 2nd firmware and sold it within 2 weeks. You can not seriously expect any one to have to wait months for a device to start working properly.
I accept most devices have a few teething problems and as long as they are addressed quickly that is just about acceptable but the amount of time SE took with the UIQ3 devices plus there lack of communication is why i looked else where and won't buy any freshly launched product from SE again once bitten twice shy.
Not of course forgetting until they start releasing current spec devices they don't stand a chance in hell of getting my money not for old tech anyway. I have to agree with sapporobaby as this is what pushed me to Nokia and eventually the E61 which i have to tell you even with the M600's current status in just in a different class had the M600 given half as good an experience as it i would of been happy and kept the M600.

last yr SE sold like 70million phone. let say everyone of the member here buy 2 SE phone....it is still make up to 350000 phone.
Please do some calculation. we are 0.5% of the whole user group if each of us by 2 se phone last yr.....if we only buy one...it is 0.25%
you think they will listen to us on what we want?!!!
secondly..... what we request might not be listen fully because of
1/ technology constraint
2/ request by network operator didn't meet what we want
3/ why need to satisfy 0.5% of the user for some very expensive phone while 99.5% of the other is ok with what being offered.
4/ Even if they come out a P series tht have wifi N format, 3 in QVGA, 5 megapixel with auto focus and optical zoom, with DVB playback, DVD quality recording, stereo speaker, GPS, 8GB flash memory build in and UiQ3.0...will SE make a profit to suit the demand of less than 200k of request???? They can't make a profit because how can you make order on components with such low volume...it will mean supplier to SE cannot give low price on all the unique high tech component....this will resulting a very expensive phone which most network operator might not be interested because they all go for subsidies....how to provide high subsidies for such high end product?
even if esato + mobile review + howard forum + NSE news service member is not redundant...i doubt you have a population of 1 million....even it is does....it is still like 1.5% of the SE user group is making such demand.
I am frustrated in seeing none high tech stuff from SE but then what can I do when I realise the voice for demand is small....while majority of the population in this planet is happy with what they got.
and i haven't mentioned....not all SE member can afford a super duper crazy innovative ground breaking high end SE phone.
