Nice move!!!
Itīs nice to hear people are coming back to the P990i after using the N95.
Will it happen the same with the iPhone?
I'd go back to SE if I want 802.11B, equally buggy software (SE and Nokia have problems), a brick to put under my car should it start rolling backwards, a touch screen that scratches, low power, pathetic multi-media, only 3G. Yup, sounds like a sure thing to me.
On the other hand, I will wait for Nokia, which sends out updates much faster than SE to fix the current problems and the N95 to continue to be a great phone. Yeah, I'll go back to SE. NOT!!!!!!

It's obvious you have no clue about the definition of the term fanboy. Go look it up. I do recall that when I was using an SE phone and made a comment about it, you had nothing to say. I guess your loyalties are blind and you just follow the crowd. That is a fanboy. I am more concerned why someone would spend $500 on a phone and then sell it. What makes one churn. These are issues that are going to influence the future phones that are developed, but I guess you don't understand that. When someone goes from one manufacturer to another, there is a problem here. In this case, the gentleman went back technologically. Was his original purchase so bad that this was not an issue? His happiness with the second purchase also plays a part. Will he be inclined to purchase again from the original manufacturer or is his brand loyalty switched. This is not an emotional issue which some are making it. This is a marketing and purchasing issue which will determine the next group of phones SE and Nokia decided to sell. Surely you can see this.
Go beyond the superficial.

Rather than crying, how about asking why this guy went from Nokia to SE. Maybe you don't see it but there is a trend going through the mobile market. The P990 while an okay phone is out there, SE could and should do much better than they are doing considering that consumers are more than willing to spend massive amounts of money. The same can be said of Nokia. My posts were and still remain with the same subtext: are producers listening to consumers or are they listing to analysts? The P990 (I will through the M600i in here as well) have/had the potential to be trend setters and innovation leaders but SE chose to really drop the ball regarding support, regarding new technologies. Is this only for money or for some other reason. The software on the P and M series is a long way from being where a consumer should have to pay for their mistakes as is Nokia. My question is whether is worth it to take a step back technologically rather than demand a fix for the money that was paid. I think that this is an important issue. At $500 a pop I demand some satisfaction, not simply to have to go to another manufacturer.

I don't see any offence on sapporobaby's behalf. He might be a bit direct but that's nothing to justify banning.

Thanks. My question is still the same. My reasoning being, that I have some friends that work for Nokia in marketing. They are very interested to know why someone would spend this much money, and then sell their device, then take a step backward (their opinion, mine as well) rather than wait for a sure fix? In this very forum, there are three long running (almost a year and a year long) talking about how bad the k800i was, the P990 was/is, and the M600i. So there is no magic phone out there on the market, produced by anyone.

@johnex heysan

maybe sapporobaby is "too straight" and "too open" when it comes to replies or share opinions, but on that way half esato could be banned. aslong one of us dont brake the rules here, its pointless to ask for the biggest punishment imo. his - just as your - opinion is alwasy welcome here. different views are the source for a colourful esato and in case if there are any personal differences, use the pm imo.
this isnt the only one thread se vs nokia since n95 has hit the market and 1 thing is fact. nokia gave us sg new, what non brand has got it before. so if its the nokia users proudness or se users "hidden jelousy" what usually leads to "overheated" conversations, i really donnow, maybe a mixture of both... but the solution isnt a ban, when we say our opinion...

Not his opinions, but the whole switching the topic. And yes, that is the current problem here at esato, threads tend to trail off.

I asked a question about why based on some of the other on and off topics in this thread. Go and check out some of you previous posts from other threads. Quite a long and winding road from you as well. Maybe your ban should include you as well.
Anyway, as I said, and will say again. I have friends in marketing at Nokia that would be interested in the decision by the OP here.
