Why why why???!!!! It has UMTS 850 but no GSM 850!! What good is that gonna do me??? Looks like an awesome phone though. Too bad it won't work with AT&T/Cingular. Looks like they have an EDGE version with GSM 850 but who would want that.

Keep the FAITH my friend. Most likely its a typo ... but remember the injunction against all Qualcomm chips ... not sure if SE uses Ericsson chipset radio's exclusively.

Well, i think that's about it for me guys.
I've been an SE user since, well, forever. Never had anything else. I wanted to upgrade my aging k750 to the k850, but Sofia is simply the ugliest phone ever produced by any company.
And, of course, the features, save for the 5mp camera, are ridiculous. No Bravia screen, no 2,4" screen, no UIQ - non of the rumored "Nokia killer" stuff. We had to give up on the hope of Wifi and optical zoom long ago, but somehow i could still live with the limited, cut back features. If only it wasn't so damn ugly...
((
Go already then.
The K850 has so much to offer and is only 2mm thicker than the K610. It's a camera phone, not a bloody computer that requires charging every 4 hours.
Quite right!! It's a K series handset for gods sake, they will be giving these away on PAYG for £250 within a few months, what do some people expect in a mid-range handset, i ask you.

are the softkeys.... sensor/touch keys?.. if so that's pretty assssssss
If you refer to the numerica keys, they are same/similar as those on T650 i.e. not sensor/touch.

Some sites are saying it has GSM 850 and some aren't. What's correct?
