how long does this go on for? 2 people i work with are both fasting, and they have turned into different people, i asked them a work related question which they just argued about and they are being snappy! no need to take it out on me though!

lol, they don't smoke usually do they?
Some do get snappy, but most just take it easy like myself. If you can't do it then leave it but to take your stress out on others is wrong. With Fasting one should learn self-restraint and inner peace.

Snappy due to lack of food and water I bet btw as Petersays above if they can't handle it then they don't have to do it
So Day 2 in the Esato Diary room went ok then all
sorted..
I haven't eaten much myself today neither I shouldn't have gone round my pals earlier as she shoved Chinese food in me face
Sorry all

Ah, I do feel a lil hungry/thirsty this time around. That's because of the days being longer but I can't remember myself acting strang because of the fasting.
I usually feel much more relaxed, peaceful and healthy during this Great Month!

Salam all. For me it's not so much the lack of food or water. It's all the other things, like keeping restraint, inner peace, pure thoughts etc.
If your in a high pressure job, there's so much stress and it's easy to lose one's temper quiet quickly.
Hamdullah there are a couple of muslm brothers where I work, we intend to have the iftar together pretty soon.
BTW, is it ok to brush your teeth while fasting?

Brushing your teeth with Miswak is fine but not with paste due to obvious reasons, brush your teeth at Suhur and all should ok Inshaallah.
Have you guys seen
This Video by Ahmed Bukhatir?? So brilliant with lyrics on the right hand side!!
Bought a tear to my eye!
Subhanallah
