No my phone isn't branded or anything. When i put in a K810 menu.ml it only shows the playnow icon. everything else works fine

Hey Max, or Rocky, or anyone that can help me!

I'm planning to create a Startup/Shutdown/Splash + sound mod
And it takes me precious time acessing FAR to replace them.

Is it possible to use this trick to those files? I know I have done that to play a mp3 instead of mid... but the mp3 was on the same folder.

The thing is that the shutdown/up/splash are without extension....

I tried the following

1 - create shortcuts of the 4 files pointing to [tpa\\user\\other\\strtp\\SPLASH]
2 - copy those SPLASH.@.lnk to [tpa\\...\\settings]
3 - copy the 4 original files to the new folder under "other"

no result...
what have I done wrong?

seriously Peter, i havent try that one before...

tho my idea is that the "LINK" technique only works with images, thats why it goes well with the icons....

tho i dont know with sound files... lotsa info inside a audio file to simple link it like that... well im not sure of this idea... it only lmy opinion...

Also anything in the IFS folder can't be shortcutted (for example camdriver, accoustic)

how about the fonts sir, is it possible? im successful with the menu icons, but when i tried the same principle with the fonts, it didnt work.

First delete file's in tpa\\preset\\system\\menu and then put shortcut's or ?

I also belive more in particularly it only works with png files. I tries this shortcut trick with some full screen animated gif menus and it wouldn't work.

I edited all the shotrcut files to point o .gif, and yes i opened each one in notepad and replaced .pg with .gif. and also the external filenames from .png.@ to .gif.@

and still nothing. hase anybody got this shortcut trick working with gif's?

***NEVERMIND***

I read page twoa bout there being special hex characters in the .@ shortcuts. So I used the program supplied and now full screen gif's work perfectly.

I also tried it with Camera and satrtup screens.

Camera: Says its already being used and closed to desktop.

Startup: Only the works fine except for the SPLASH. I guess the phone isnt fully loaded enough at this point to read shortcuts.

I created a shortcut using windows.. than edited with notepad to point to the a folder I created...

I have done a shortcut method that sweet amber told me to play some mp3 instead of original .mid sound at startup.

That worked doing so:
create shortcut with Windows [of the mp3 sound already renamed to STARTUP_SOUND.mp3]
the the link should be renamed to STARTUP_SOUND.mid.@
than up everything to settings flder...

It worked for the mp3

I'll try with the Shortcut generator!
Than I'll post the result!
