> T68i is/becomes old fashion?

Most phones will be out of date within 12 months of release, however top of range phones will still be good years later. E.g. I still use my t28. It works well, and its small light and still looks good. The t68i is still better than most phones out because the features r all packed into such a small phone. I wouldnt be seen dead with a 7650-its a brick. End of.

features? well thats the main course of T68 you cant call it OLD FASHIONED because your "not so needed" features are there but for sure you'll need it in the future.

I hesitated between 7650 and T68i ! I made the wrong choice (7650). Heavy, big, no voice BT support...
I sold it two months later, and bought (three weeks ago) (what a chance) a Ericsson T68 brand new, at almost half of the price of the
T68i , and I asked for a software upgrade at a
service point so now I have a T68i.
The only available phone with: Full BT support, color screen, GPRS, Wap, Sync ML, Calendar, mail support, MMS support...
Find another one, and let me know !!!

Normally i carry both about but i leave my t68 at home when i go out to the pub or go clubbin, etc as i dont need e mail or bluetooth.
Feature wise, the t68i is great, only missing java and poly tones, but if i was compareing the 7210 with the phone that i origianally got (t68m) then things mite be different. I love my t68. had it over a year (personal record for me) but i feel without the software updates it would be struggle. Maybe not, who knows.

I guess none here case to admit the lacks of the t68, so i'll just do it then he he... No speakerphone! - a very usefull function which the t68 lacks, and 7210 and 7650 has. No java! - very usefull for customizeing and adding features and games to your phone. No polyphonic ringtones! - maybe not a necessarity, but still nice to have that option. I could mention a lot more features only the 7650 has, over the t68, but i won't since they're not even in the same league, feature-wise!

And besides, the need for bluetooth audio isn't that high when you have a powerfull speakerphone.

Along with this, I use Macintosh. The Nokia way has always made me think 'Apple Phone', due to clean interface and cool features. This is changing, though. Nokia seems to be inconsistent in features.
Why release phones that don't support SMS features of older phones?
Why support Bluetooth, but only half way?
Why not use Open Standards, like SyncML in contrast to Microsoft-like proprierty in-house protocols? I don't like to move at Nokia these days!
The T68i, old or not, makes my Mac sync with it, makes my Mac do dialing and SMS's from the computer, makes Bluetooth a Must Have feature, just like Airport is a Must Have for networking. It Just Works®.
So, you can argue about all the fancy gadget and 'schoolyard' features of the new models, it's if they integrate in your life that matters!
