k850 supports k800 themes ^^

as someone pointed out, what about the centre touchscreen key?

Still workable ^^

Oh & by the way, you will not be able to imprint date & time stamp onto the picture. Also, the amount of noise different between ISO 100 and 400 is really NON-EXISTENCE, which is a VERY GOOD THING!!
There's potential lurking in this zone!!!~~

"you will not be able to imprint date & time stamp onto the picture"
means
There isn't a setting in the camera menu to turn on/off the 'time/date stamp' which is a small indication on the final image of the time and date that the photo was taken.

"the amount of noise different between ISO 100 and 400 is really NON-EXISTENCE"
means
The 'noise' (imagine the photographic equivelant of hiss on a poorly sampled audio track, often looks like speckles in dark areas of a photo and appear when the photo is taken under low-lighting conditions) is about the same when the ISO setting (this is what used to be commonly known as film speed on a old film cameras but is more accurately used to describe light sensetivity of the receptor, which in this case is a digital sensor) is at 100, 200 or 400.

At least that's I percieved it..

Ricky, have you received your replacement from VF yet? If so, has it resolved any of the issues you were experiencing?

They're out of stock (I heard they sold out by Thursday evening) so they can't send me one just yet. They're expecting the delivery in and on the system by lunchtime today so I'm calling back after lunch. Hopefully I'll exchange with them for a new one tomorrow.

just got my k850i today

and tested out the camera and all the pictures looked normal on the screen
but once i took the pic it came out pitch black with a few speckles of light and it had the flash on (the pic was taking at about 7.30 am indoors with lights on an everything) the settings were the default ones. AUTO for just about everything

what settings is everybody else using to get good pics??

thanks

you need to be really careful the way you hold the phone - i naturally hold the phone with a finger going down the right handside of the front...not covering the flash or anything butdoing this it takes awful pic's. But holding it so you are not coviering any of the front and it takes great pics.

Does that make sense?

There was a comment earlier too...

“Another tip for taking photos with the camera is that NEVER OBSTRUCT the light sensor when using full auto mode!!! this will cause the sensor to send signal to the phone to release a very weak flash, thus making the whole scene very dark!!! In the box it there is also a specific leaflet which strongly advises you the correct manner of holding your phone when using it as a camera!!”

Oh and hi...my first post.

@Skrue,

How much does it cost in Dubai and are both colors available?

Thanks,

@jalal - if you go to Axiom it would cost 2299aed with 2GB m2 card while cellucom and jumbo sells them cheap for 2195aed but only with 512mb m2. I bought mine from Axiom getting the 2gb m2 and 2 years warranty. Both colors are available here in Dubai.
