Well...i was making a comparation, and your photos just prove my point...the P1 seems clearly less bulky...and besides that in a phone, 50g are really noticeable

you may feel the Tytn II is not bulky (i disagree, even the P1 is a bit bulky), i respect that, but compared with the P1/w960, it does feel bulky

This has nothing to do with the other specs, were i know the Tytn II has advantage (in most)

I do not think is bulky compare with other phones, I trade bulky for big screen anytime...plus I keep my phone in my handbag...
I decided to go for HTC tytn after all my research, I liked the design with big time display, gps, touchscreen, usb etc, now Im looking for a good price in USA.

Clearly from the pictures and the specs there's not much of a difference but in real life, I have to tell you I felt it. I mean, my hand almost fell to the floor when my friend gave it to me! Wow! 50 grams means a lot when compared to my P1i.
I liked it as I said...but for the moment my P1i has to work for the money I paid. Which brings me top another point: I paid 340 euros for mine while the price for Tytn 2 here is close to 680 euros. That made the difference. Masseur knows as I PM'ed him about the TYTN2. So I went for P1i.

I have to say, I'd be lying if I said I didn't notice the weight of the Tytn II immediately after my svelte M600i (itself lighter and smaller than the W960i), but that faded after a couple of days. It still fits in my pocket fine, and feels comfortable in the hand or to ear, and that's really all I need from any phone. If you want something tiny and lightweight, don't go for a full-featured smartphone!

On price - there are some great deals to be had on the network branded versions of the Tytn II (Vario III, V1615, Tilt, Stellar, Orange Tytn II) and they're all easily debrandable to the "stock" HTC version. I paid Vodafone £50 for mine, to upgrade my £20pm contract for another 12 months. For me, the P1 (exclusive to O2 in the UK) would have worked out quite a bit more expensive.

I really cant see what the discussion is about . How could anyone compare the TyTyn2 to the W960i, its like comaring apples and oranges . I had an M600i-Motorola ROKR E6- TyTYn2 and the TyTyn2 blows away anything in the market. As far as music goes using a free program called GSPlayer, the quality is amazing with bass boost, 3D surround, stereoewidening and Reverb etc....

Video playback is fine too as long as the video is limited to 320*240 and about 25fps and less than 500bps. Almost the same specs as those playable on my M600i.

The cam is better than a lot of cam phones I've used, over exposure is an issue, I keep my exposure at -2 all the time. JPEG compression algorithms are not too good either. But it is good enough for those quick shots and I use it to take macro pics instead of my Canon EOS 400d(I mainly do wildlife so have'nt bothered investing in a macro lens ).

In India we have no service support for the TyTYn2, I got it from SIngapore and even if I were to make a descision to buy the phone again, I'd do it because using it is such an amazing experience(Used all OS phones till date from S60, S603rd Edition, UIQ, EZX(Linux), iPhone) I dont think I'll ever leave Windows mobile. This is the first time in my life a phone has'nt restarted on me, maye second I dont think my E6 restarted either.

Generally speaking, people who are negative towards the phone dont own one .

@isadouglas
I would suggest HTyc Tynt2 with my eyes closed ,its quadband phone means u can use it anywhere in the world, hsdpa compared to 3g,
And 400mhz qualcomm processor compared mere 220 mhz processor of w960,a 2,8 inch screen to 2.6 inch of 960,gps vs no gps, wifi 802.11b/g vs 802.11b,Full qwerty keyboard. And much better build quality unlike the plasticy w960,So for all this adavantages u can spare a little 50g of weight
Go for tynt2

Thats more than 25 % extra weight.. and in days when every maker is trying to reduce each possible gram , 50 gram is heavy...

But when you look at all the extra features that TYTN II offers, I find this 50 gm so light...

The heavier it is, the harder it will fall (when you drop it)! The difference between the old TyTN and the new TyTN II is only 14 grams but it feels more since the TyTN II is smaller!
