Btw, the first firmware-update is out for the N96.

Amnesia, did you try playing the pre-recorded "Transformers" .mp4 trailer on N96? Does it play smoothly? It lags on my phone and runs perfectly on old N958Gb. That's very frustrating, because all .mp4 videos are played same way.

However after doing a hard reset, it won't play anymore! It says that it's locked! Wtf...
Also I have done the firmware update,
it did not improve ANYTHING.
I think it made things worse! Phone calls now crackles a bit sometimes.
When I receive a message and hit reply it takes 30 seconds to actually open up the reply box.
The phone's battery doesn't even last a day and I don't talk that much! I find the bar is NOT accurate as well. It's full and drops to HALF all of a sudden. It last from 9am to 11:20pm where it started to say 'battery low'
What made me angry is that it hasn't even been a WEEK and the phone is already 100 pounds cheaper in stores!

sorry to hear the troubles you are having amnesia. you would have thought nokia most awaited n96 handset would be top of the class when it comes to mobiles.

Sometimes it gets a bit slow, but that's rare.
