UIQ was all SE. Moto might have a couple of them as well, but i can sell more home made lemonade than the amount they sold Z10
Sadly I don't know that much about the lemonade business, but good luck.
I do, and i can sell more than the amount of Z10 moto sold.

I don;t think I'll ever by any smartphone again from SE, since they'll probably stop supporting it after 1 year. I bet SE XPERIA X1 will have the same fate as UIQ 3 phones in one year time. If you want WM, buy HTC instead!

Microsoft's WM OS development is independent of SE so it's not the same case with UIQ.

you´r wrong...you only can update WM version on the X1 if SE makes it available in the future...

Apologies if I sound ignorant out here but wouldn't WM7 need a significantly upgraded hardware set to boot? It's like the jump from XP to Vista.
My point is, some of the latest batch of WinMo 6.1 based devices (X1, Touch HD) might be able to run WM7 but devices with slower processors/less RAM (Kaiser, Diamond, Touch 3G etc.) would display a marked decrease in performance.

my point is still up to SE to provide firmware updates, like with UIQ
and if they "honor" their past...people will be screwed...again

you don't know much about WM devices then. Most htc devices, especially branded ones such as HP, Samsung etc, don't provide updates much beyond a year anyway. It's even rarer for WM devices to be offered OS upgrades from one full version to another. Usually when it's possible it's via hacking by xda-developers and other third-parties. No thanks to OEM's or HTC.
Infact, tell me which OEM provides firmware updates much beyond a year anyway? Nokia certainly don't.

Nokia certainly do...you seem to be uninformed on that subject (like me regarding WM...).
A hint...go see how many firmware updates, (and since when), the N95 Classic had...
