iPhone, N97 and HTC touch pro killer??? You guys are basing this on what??
A ´prototype´ with an ´undefined´ OS and no release date. It won´t have multi-touch, it won´t have a big/easily accesible software market like the app store, it doesn´t have a real keyboard, it doesn´t have a 3.5mm jack, no real info on OS, interface or speed, no info on HD, no enterprise support like nokia or winmo (or even iphone), etc etc
Idou is a very cool concept but that´s it. It´s totally undefined and even if it was it doesn´t kill any of the competitors mentioned. Idou is more of a ´me too´ device rather than something really innovative or revolutionary (ok, it has many pixels but that doesn´t necessarily mean a better camera, we all know that, and even if the camera is great, it´s not enough to kill the competition).

Couldn't have said it better myself. Proof that there are still rational thinking people on this forum.

Yes the Idou has potential but untill this thing is ACTUALLY released with CONFIRMED specs I'm not getting excited at all about it.

Cheers

Who were you replying to? Yourself? I never mentioned anything about the quality of single speakers?

You weren't even required to - - you questioned whether the amount of speakers was important to a musical flagship device, and I was stating that regardless of quantity, loudspeakers needs to be of a certain quality......

But of course, as one of the 'most' whom don't care for loudspeakers in devices(as it's only ever there to play a ringtone for you), then you probably don't need a good sounding musical flagship - in fact, keep the phone in vibrate mode, you don't need a speaker at all! Maybe you want to suggest such to SE??

Of course, there will always be those of us in the minority. who do use loudspeakers on our devices...who need something better than X1's afterthought......

Actually because you put emphasis on the word had, it was vital that I mentioned that single speakers are great. But because I didn't, your reply made no grammatical sense at all. What you should have said was ' have never had a decent single speaker '. That is why I was confused.

I was pointing out that mobile phone speakers in general are so poor compared to a a full size speaker, it doesn't really matter how many there are. They'll still never sound brilliant, so what does it matter?

I don't give a shit for phone without decent buttons.

Touchscreen "buttons" are big shit in my opinion.

I would never buy such a product.

Thanks for the correction, you're grammatically accurate there(although I wouldn't change the emphasis on the 'had' either)...you missed the full stop which should have been a comma though......

And my point was that, regardless of quantity, to some of us(the minority, obviously, as the majority of people must think like yourself, as you say so), quality DOES matter. Again, no point trying to explain to you, if you don't use your radio, for example...but now on my second X1, it's a major complaint to ME - not that I expect Idou to be a superlative sounding device, but as 'Entertainment Unlimited', if it sounds as bad as X1 does, it'll be an entertainment joke......

I begg to differ...i don´t have any high hopes for this...here´s why:

(this guy is an ex-UIQ /SE employee)

Besides, the UI right now a mix between PSP style and ugly s60 v5 stuff. Seems they won´t take advantage of the awesome UIQ Touch concepts. Of course not, they sent all people away. FAIL
