Dunno what's wrong but I can't seem to download your MAIN from Rapidshare, it always says that my IP has been changed by the provider thus cancelling the download.

Stuck with R3DA032 CHINESE Generic MAIN & R3DA029 APAC-ANZ FS

It's not Rapidshare but your provider. Mine presents the same problems when accessing rs from phone. Try refreshing the page with error msg till transfer starts.

P.s. Can anyone answer my previous question - is copying back FS backup sufficient to revert safely to current state?

I have never tried such a thing, I normally make a backup with my phone explorer and change the settings that couldnt get backed-up manually after the flash.

I already got the MAIN and turned my C702 into another Frankenstein. =) It's a bit faster now, but I notice that the Media menu still lags a bit, is it probably the memory card that's faulty?

I only have used the main for flashing. The FS left in phonealmost intact. Everything works like before after flash with one small problem, only english is available for phone language. I have present appropriate .lng files in language dir, though not offered anymore. Can somebody help me?

It has something todo with the customize files, I've also only have English availible even thought I used MAIN+Western Europe FS. Also it Might have something to do with MAIN and FS having different versions and the phone being confused because of it

Is there an easy way to extract a firmware from the C702 into usable files for a2uploader? I might fork out some cash and have wotan upgrade me to generic R3EA036.

All the files of it are present in /custom. Since master reset wasn't performed with new main, I've copied customize.xml as customize_upgrade.xml so that the phone was forced to reload all of it's values. Cust. data was updated but no improve so far. I'll appreciate any solution

I saw some people on the Czech forum talking about howto add their own language, you might be able to take the same steps and add whatever language you're missing now.

I can't locate the thread right now, I think it was part of the R3EA031 or R3EA031 discussion on forum.semania.cz or some other Czech forum.

But I think for now you'll have to be happy with English only. I will try to locate the thread tonight. Sorry mate.

it's not the same to have an english dictionary than having english language. i also have the english language, but i have my spanish dictionary as well

Yep, to make clear, it doesn't concern writing languages (T9 selection), it's the language the phone talks it's messages menus etc. (ie .lng files)
I also have read some discussions about fixing missing languages afterflash but all ended up at uploading customization and necessary .lng files. Since that seems be ok I don't have any more idea. As written before not a big issue but just for peace of mind i'd be better with local language.
