Noooo!! Same thing's happened to my new P800 too! It crashed when I was hanging up a phone call at the same time as an SMS popped up and then I just got the 10 sec reset timer. Now it just stops after the power-on animation and tune. Spoke to SE here in the UK and they said they don't support it yet but to pop down to a service centre just for a laugh anyway. I might try this if only for the entertainment value. Presume I'll either have to wait for the UK launch or send it back to the shop in the Philippines. Hmm...

@robpow
i feel for ya mate, i know exactly how you feel. i think your best bet is to send it to a SE service center in sweden or something and get it fixed. i even called SE UK ( from the US) and they said that i could send it to them and then they send it to sweden why dont you try that?

Yes.... sending it off to SE Sweden, that's not a bad idea, can't cost more than a few quid and only takes a few days in the post. I'll call them tomorrow just to double check that it is OK.
Why couldn't they just have put a hard reset on the thing, like on most PDAs. I was testing a Palm W with built-in GPRS phone and it even had two hard resets, with or without erasing all data and settings.

ok i got my p800 fixed
its with my friend in kuwait and he tried it and it works fine... he's sending it in a few days
anyways he told me they put the latest software in does anyone know what version it is (it was going to be a hassle to ask him) and what are the imporvments in the neswest software version???
by the way he told me the reason the p800 wouldnt work is because the software got corrupted but he's sending the piece of paper of what exactly went wrong so i should have it in a couple of days
thanks again
